Brooklyn Rider

The multi-faceted string quartet Brooklyn Rider is becoming increasingly known for its creative programming and exciting collaborations which serve to illuminate music in new ways and invite audiences into a shared experience. Uniquely able to address a wide and inclusive range of music, they are as willing to explore the world of Haydn as they are in the music of our time and have performed in venues as varied as Joe's Pub in NYC, Todai-ji Temple in Nara Japan and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia.

Avey Tare

Avey Tare (born David Portner on April 24th, 1979) is a musician and founding member of Animal Collective. Avey Tare met Animal Collective's Deakin (Josh Dibb), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), and Geologist (Brian Weitz) in high school. For years, the four of them swapped homemade recordings, shared musical ideas and performed in different group configurations. Avey Tare recorded the Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished album with Panda Bear, and initially released the recording on the band's own Animal label in 2000.

Chelsea Light Moving is an band formed in 2012 in New York City, United States. Their members are Thurston Moore (guitar, vocals), Keith Wood (guitar), Samara Lubelski (bass guitar) and John Moloney (drums). After sitting in the orgone box planted in Burroughs' back yard of Lawrence, Kansas in the midpoint of the 1990s, Thurston Moore came to the realization that at some point he'd need to form a band that played Burroughs Rock.

It was established in 1998 by Harrison Stafford, Ryan Newman and Marcus Urani upon their meeting at the Jazz program at Sonoma State University. Groundation's music incorporates the lyrical struggle of Roots Reggae, the progressive musicianship of Funk/Jazz fusion, and other-worldly transcendental Dub. The 9-piece band creates an altogether new Reggae sound, featuring swirling horns, stout poly-rhythmics, and soulful harmony vocals.

- There was a "Crowd Deterrent Dog", which was owned by ERIC COLTENBA (spelling?), who was a ofrmer singer. He would bring the dog to shows and it wore a hoodie w/ CD logo printed on the back w/ the sleeves cut off.

Anonymous 4 is a female quartet, based in New York City. Their main performance genre is music, although they have also premiered works by living composers such as John Tavener and Steve Reich. Anonymous 4 has performed in cities throughout North America, and have been regulars at major international festivals. They decided to make the 2003-2004 season their last as a full-time recording and touring ensemble, although special projects (such as their Gloryland CD and their "Long Time Traveling" Tour) continue to bring them together on occasion.
