Manilla Road

Manilla Road is an American band from Wichita, Kansas, USA, forming around its master of lead guitar Mark 'The Shark' Shelton (vocals and guitar). They are considered the creators and masters of the the so-called "" subgenre. Manilla Road was created by Shelton in 1977 with high school friends Benny Munkirs, Rick Fisher and brothers Robert and Scott Park. After playing in local bars, the group first gained attention with their song "Herman Hill," inspired by the Herman Hill riot.

Evoken

Evoken is a funeral doom metal band from Lyndhurst, New Jersey, USA, one of the earliest U.S. doom/death metal bands that are still active today along with Novembers Doom and Rigor Sardonicous. Evoken are highly inspired by the Australian band Disembowelment. The band name Evoken is taken from the Thergothon song found on Fhtagn-nagh Yog-Sothoth. The band was founded by guitarist Nick Orlando and bassist Rob Robichaud under the name Funereus in April of 1992 and released a demo which sonds like extremely slow, dark brutal death metal with super deep growls.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) The Loved Ones were an Australian rock group of the 1960s, formed in the wake of the British Invasion. Although the band’s career lasted only two years, the group is now regarded as one of the most significant Australian bands of the 1960s. 2) The Loved Ones are a band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band was founded in late 2003 by Dave Hause (formerly of The Curse and Paint It Black) on vocals and guitar, Michael Cotterman (formerly of Kid Dynamite) on bass and Mike Sneeringer (formerly of Trial By Fire) on drums.

Master

Master is the most well-known project of bassist, vocalist, and songwriter Paul Speckmann. They were well known in the early extreme metal underground, being both one of the first death metal bands, and one of the most influential alongside Death in the emerging death metal scene. The band began in 1983, and still exists today, having released several albums with many different lineups. Paul Speckmann started out as bass player in doom band War Cry, where he met up with drummer Bill Schmidt who was drafted in to replace previous War Cry drummer, Joe Laccino.

Pyrexia is an extreme death metal band from New York.In 2001, the entire then-current lineup teamed up with ex-Obituary guitarist Trevor Peres to form Catastrophic. After an album was recorded, Chris Basile (the one constant Pyrexia member throughout their career) left that band, and has since recruited an all-new Pyrexia lineup. A new CD, Cruelty Beyond Submission, featuring eight remastered older tunes and three brand-new ones) was released in 2004.

Lowlife

There is more than one band with this name. 1. Lowlife was a Scottish post-punk/dream pop band, active from 1985 to 1997. Although never obtaining mainstream popularity, they developed a cult following that continues to this day. Early years: Pre-Lowlife Dead Neighbours was an early-1980s psychobilly band from Grangemouth, Scotland, originally consisting of Craig Lorentson (vocals), David Steel (bass), Ronnie Buchanan (guitar) , and Grant McDowall (drums).
