Svartvit

Svartvit is a Dutch harsh noise project from Boxtel that was started in 2008 by sound artist Kevin Jansen. Through the years the project has evolved both in presentation and sound. Starting of as a very monotonous study in textural noises it has turned into a direct channeling of anger, frustration and the questioning of modern day society through sound & performance. Svartvit takes influences from a wide spectrum including but definitely not limited to; Vienna Aktionism, socio-political topics, underground punk music...

Fritz Welch

Fritz Welch began singing at the Hallelujah Bacon Church of Decatur Georgia at the tender age of a heathen actionist goatherd. He has spent many hours avoiding work and death while playing drums and exploring other sculptural possibilities. In this practice the fundamental determinance of line and volume is accumulated in a collision of stripped down abundance and never ending occular vibration.

Virgin Passages

The world has seemingly been besieged by bearded bands in the past year - but most of those kids treading on their fifth style of music wear it like a badge and far from an integral part of their work. When you hear Virgin Passages and their folkish strum intersecting with psychedelic experimentation and swirl of boy/girl harmonies and chanted refrains, you just know what they will look like. The men (and they will be men – no boys making music with this many layers) will have beards almost by default.

The Hummingbirds

There are at least two groups with the name The Hummingbirds. 1. Although criminally unknown outside of their native Australia, the Hummingbirds' dreamy boy-girl harmonies and refreshing jangle-pop sound positioned them among the brightest bands of their era. The group formed in 1986 from the remnants of the short-lived Bug Eyed Monsters, and originally comprised singer/guitarist Simon Holmes, bassist John Boyce and drummer Mark Temple; vocalist/guitarist Alannah Russack signed on a short time later...
