Lissat & Voltaxx

Jens Lissat doesn't really need an introduction; insiders call him the "German godfather of techno". His eclectic career started 15 years ago with clubanthems like "Work the House-Sound", "Who is Elvis", "Der Erdbeermund" and his biggest success, the Interactive Remake "Forever Young", which still graces his studio in the form of a golden record. If "dirty Lissat" counts it right he could call more than 130 releases his own.

Out of that, a kid called HEDONIACS was born... unsure who his parents are, but not really bothered... he just wants to have fun and maybe understand a bit of this nutty world along the way. "We wanna be the best, we don't compromise, we have fun, we don't bullshit and we don't give a fuck." - HEDONIACS "The songs are about my people. Our lives, our thoughts and our stories. Normal people who do abnormal things." - Lewie

Cornell Campbell

Cornell, or Cornel, Campbell started recording in 1956, cutting shuffle and early ska tunes like "My Treasure" and "Don't Want Your Loving" at the ubiquitous Studio One for Coxsone Dodd. His singing style is delicate and ephemeral, making heavy use of falsetto. His stint at Studio One produced some beautiful tunes like Stars, Queen Of The Minstrels, Magic Spell, Trick In The Book and many others. His sister, Cecille Campbell, also sang at Studio One and was a member of the Soulettes with Rita Marley.

Black To Comm

Black To Comm is an alias for Dekorder label owner Marc Richter's audio excursions. Richter creates his music using scratchy shellac and vinyl records, field recordings, a so called "kitchen gamelan," and more traditional instruments like organs, guitars, pianos and mbiras. The layering and hypnotic repetition of short loops from Psychedelia, Free Jazz, Vaudeville, and various other old recordings reveals alternative melodic dimensions not apparent in the source material.
