Responsible for the Rockabye Baby! series of CDs, which transforms timeless rock songs into beautiful instrumental lullabies, often making use of instruments such as the glockenspiel, vibraphone, mellotron, harp and bells to create a soothing atmosphere of sound.
The Diversions are an all female college a cappella group from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. Founded in 2003 as the fifth a cappella group on a very small college campus, they set out to do something a little different and to bring a lot of humor into the a cappella circle. Well known for being the 'funny group' The Diversions took off quickly and are still going strong. They self-recorded their first demo in the spring of 2006 and in the spring of 2008 recorded and produced their first official album 'Face Your Fears.
Alvin "Youngblood" Hart (born 1963 in Oakland, California) is an American musician. Influenced in early childhood by the Mississippi Country Blues performed by older relatives, Hart is known as one of the world's foremost practitioners of that genre. Hart is also known as a faithful torchbearer for the 60's & 70's guitar rock of his youth, as well as Western Swing and vintage Country. His music has been compared to a list of diverse artists ranging from Leadbelly, Spade Cooley to Led Zeppelin and Thin Lizzy.
The Pinecone Kids were born this year and with downs syndrome. As a result they go around asking people if they would like to buy pinecones. Straight outta east London gutters they play gritty grungey noisy madness, but also soft soothing sonnets of ambience. Global Citizen have been quietly emerging as one of the most powerful dark electronic bands around with their dark, moody, twisted, sexy and often downright perverse music with striking imagery to match. Rebco Records (London) snapped them up late in 2007 and this, their debut album on Rebco, entitled "Master Stroke" was released late in 2008 and has been going down a storm with their converts and industry.
BADBADNOTGOOD is pianist Matt Tavares, bassist Chester Stone Hansen, and drummer Alex Sowinski, who is usually seen wearing a pig mask. The trio met at Humber College in Toronto, Canada and bonded over their mutual musical interests—OFWGKTA, Gucci Mane, and Waka Flocka Flame. Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine are a cover band and comedy act based in Los Angeles, California. The band's name is a play on that of rock band Rage Against the Machine, and Cheese's pseudonym is a reference to smegma.
