Chromatics originally hailed from Seattle as a quartet featuring vocalist Adam Miller, drummer Hannah Blilie, guitarist Devin Welch, and bassist Michelle Nolan. That lineup debuted in 2002 with a Calvin Johnson-produced 7" on Gold Standard Laboratories -- a split with Die Monitr Batss -- and followed with the similarly GSL-issued Chrome Rats Vs Basement Ruts LP. While Chrome Rats was critically hailed, Chromatics couldn't keep it together, and Miller was soon the only member in good standing (Blilie, Welch, and Nolan went on to form the similar-sounding Shoplifting).

Sense is a name of at least name three acts: 1) A pseudonym of Adam Raisbeck (b. 25 Jun 1974, Melbourne, Australia). Since establishing himself as Soulenoid (early in 1995), he performed numerous times, in Melbourne (Club Filter, Global Warming and the Punters Club), as well as larger one-off parties, such as: the Omniglobe raves, Technofest, Big Day Out, Be Strange and Earthcore. He has also supported international stars, including: Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Aphex Twin, Biochip C., Cylob and the On-U Sound posse.

A Split Second is simply too good to be ignored, and from their conception in 1985 it didn't take the world long to acknowledge the importance of Marc ICKX's and Chrismar CHAYELL's unique musical vision. While achieving only moderate commercial success, the Afghan Whigs attracted ample critical acclaim and deeply loyal fans, Rolling Stone described the band as spending "the bulk of their career on the brink of stardom", yet they've "never quite broken beyond a substantial legion of devotees enamored of their thinly veiled sleaze."
