Krzysztof Penderecki (born November 23, 1933 in D?bica) is a Polish composer and conductor. His 1960 avant-garde Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima for string orchestra brought him to international attention, and this success was followed by acclaim for his choral St. Luke Passion. Both these works exhibit novel compositional techniques. Since the 1970s Penderecki's style has changed to encompass a post-Romantic idiom.
Not to be confused with the 80's minimal synth band called Anti-Matter. 1) Antimatter, a UK dark gothic acoustic electro rock band, is currently the project of long time member Mick Moss. The project was formed in 1998 by Duncan Patterson (former bassist/songwriter of Anathema) and Mick Moss. The pair released three albums together - "Saviour", "Lights Out" and "Planetary Confinement". Shortly after the completion of "Planetary Confinement" Patterson left to start another band called Íon.
Bohren & der Club of Gore are a noir jazz band founded in 1992 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany by Thorsten Benning (drums), Morten Gass (keys), Reiner Henseleit (guitar), and Robin Rodenberg (upright / double bass). They play a crossover of jazz and ambient, which they self described as an "unholy ambient mixture of slow jazz ballads, Black Sabbath doom and down tuned Autopsy sounds". Over the years they have continously reduced and compressed their music to extremes.
1) The band is based in Kungsbacka, south of Gothenburg, Sweden. It was formerly known as Northern Shadow, but the name was changed to Nightshade in January 1996. After some serious line-up changes (in fact, the only remaining member is vocalist Daniel Kvist), the first official demo, ‘The Benighted’, was recorded in ART Studio June 1997. A couple of bassplayers later the preparation of the second demo resulted in recruiting a keyboard player.
To some, it must seem like this young electronic producer came out of nowhere. Emancipator (Douglas Appling) played his first live show in July 2009, opening for Bonobo at the Roseland Theater (cap. 1500). Since then, he’s toured with Bassnectar, drawn crowds at festivals like Trinumeral and Symbiosis, and closed out Sound Tribe Sector 9’s late night parties in Denver at the request of the band.

Brown Bird is an American acoustic band. Pulling from the influences of the blues, outlaw country, roots rock, early American folk, Gypsy and Eastern European music, Brown Bird offers harmonized voices, haunting lyrics and diverse rhythm and instrumentation, which surges in waves that often swell into high-spirited, foot-stomping madness. Brown Bird began in 2003, and has since toured extensively, including a European stint supporting RI-based band The Low Anthem. She Wants Revenge is a post-punk/darkwave duo hailing from Los Angeles, California who formed in 2005. The band is comprised of Justin Warfield (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Adam Bravin (bass, keyboards). Accompaniment members Thomas Froggatt (guitar) and Scott Ellis (drums) join them on stage. The band have released three albums: "She Wants Revenge" (2006), "This is Forever" (2007) and "Valleyheart" (2011)
Linda Perhacs is an American psychedelic folk singer-songwriter, who released her only album "Parallelograms" in 1970 to scant notice or sales. The album was rediscovered by record enthusiasts and grew in popularity with the rise of the New Weird America movement and the Internet. It was reissued on CD and 2-LP in 2005, and again in 2008. Native of Mill Valley, California, United States, Linda Perhacs spent many years away from the music industry (mostly spent as dental technician).
