They have won 3 big pop prizes (INHOLLAND Popprijs 2007/2008, Rob Acda Award 2006/2007, Festivalprijs Velsen 2006). In 2007 they released their first EP 'The Hype Under Construction' which was a big success. 2) The Hype are a 5 piece band from Brighton.
