Luca Turilli's Rhapsody is the name of the new band of the Italian composer Luca Turilli due to the friendly split between Luca Turilli and Alex Starpoli (main composers of the bands Rhapsody and Rhapsody of Fire). The addition of Luca's name before Rhapsody is due to the same legal reasons of the past not allowing him to use the word Rhapsody alone. Black Light Burns is an American alternative / hard rock band from California with industrial and gothic aspects, created by Wes Borland. The band's recording lineup consists of Borland himself, along with Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails), Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), and Josh Freese (The Vandals, A Perfect Circle,Nine Inch Nails,Devo). Their debut album, Cruel Melody, was released in early 2007.
Rasputina is a "cello rock" ensemble composed of singer/cellist Melora Creager, and various, frequently changing band members. The current lineup includes Creager (cello), Daniel Dejesus (cello), and Dawn Miceli (drums). Founded by Creager in 1992, they have long held true to their mission of enlightening the common man as to the power and versatility of the mighty cello. Historically influenced, and constantly costumed, Rasputina keeps a small legion of incredibly passionate admirers enthralled with their earnest musicianship.
With their drum-machine-powered, infectious fuzzed-out goth, Black Math bring to mind the Jesus and Mary Chain (or, if you ask them, Siouxsie and the Banshees), but with more layers to pick apart.
