Watain, a Swedish Black Metal band, was formed in Uppsala in 1998. The name is taken from a recording by the American black metal group Von. Their first release was the 7" EP The Essence of Black Purity on Swedish Grimrune productions, recorded in Necromorbus Studios 1999. The French black metal label Drakkar Productions offered Watain a deal for two full length albums, and the debut album Rabid Death's Curse was released in 2000. After the release, Watain toured and performed alongside bands such as Rotting Christ, Antaeus, Dark Funeral, Malign etc.

Marduk is a Swedish black metal band. Marduk's predominant lyrical topics are Satanism, anti-Christianity, death, war and the Third Reich. The latter is an addition to their lyrical-conceptual themes stemming from their 1999 release Panzer Division Marduk; it quickly grew among their fans' favorites and so far Marduk have released more and more songs relating to that dark but fascinating chapter of human history such as "The Hangman of Prague" (monicker of Prague "Reichsprotektor", and, by the Way, Leader of the "Sicherheitsdienst", Reinhard Heydrich), "Deathmarch" and others.

There are multiple artists with this name:
1) Excessum was a black metal band from Sweden. They formed in 2001 and released their first demo, entitled "Oblivion" in 2003. In 2004 they recorded both the "Bleed Eternally" rehearsal tape (Bleeding Art Productions) as well as the "Death Redemption" full-lenght album (Deathstrike Records, Tour de Garde, Bleeding Art Productions), which was released in 2005.

Kyla refers to two current recording artists:

1.) Kyla refers to Kim Carlsson`s one man project. Kim Carlsson is a swedish musician, member of bands such as Hypothermia and Life Is Pain, both bands having their lyrics and atmosphere based on depression, melancholy and pain. Kyla follows the same depressive style and ideology. Kim is also one of the founding members of swedish depressive black metal/rock band Lifelover.
