Vomitous

Vomitous first saw light in the deep Scandinavian woods of Orsa, in the year 2001. Founding members were Mike (guitar) and Matti (ex-vocals). Their dream was to create the most retardedly heavy slam ever to be witnessed. The name of the band was taken from the song Festering Vomitous Mass by the undisputed kings of unparalleled perversion, Devourment. They started rehearsing with only vocals and guitar.

Artist Type:

Emil Brynge

In 2008, Emil Brynge relocated to London from his native Sweden, having already performed in the UK at various gigs and festivals since 2006. His songs and lyrics are infused with his reverence for nature, and a deep interest in visual art inspired him to write a song about Brancusi's sculpture 'Bird In Space'. As a guitarist, Brynge's finger-picking style is strongly influenced by musicians such as Nick Drake, Robin Williamson, Bert Jansch and The Incredible String Band. He also plays several other instruments including sitar, violin and piano.

Artist Type:

Junip

The story that leads to Junip’s 2010 release is one of patience and perfectionism, frustration and persistence, sheer bloody-mindedness, inspiration and success.

The place to which it takes you, however, is one of pastoral contemplation, autumnal grace and inscrutable, haunting serenity. A cosmopolitan three piece from Gothenburg, Sweden – featuring Tobias Winterkorn (keyboards), Elias Araya (drums) and Jose González (vocals & guitar), the latter of whom you’ll be familiar with from his solo work – Junip have existed since 1999, maybe even 1998. It’s so long, frankly, that none of them are quite sure. FIELDS, however, is the album that they’ve been itching to make ever since.

Hazy, organic, melodic and hypnotic, Junip lean on an unconventional blend of influences – from John Martyn’s folk-jazz to Richie Haven’s psychadelic soul to elements of krautrock and Afro-beat, modestly belying its attention to detail as well as its defiantly not-of this-time & not-of-this-world atmosphere.

Chain Gang

The Chain Gang are a punk band, contemparies of the Ramones and the late 70's NYC punks, although never a part of that scene. Although legendary to a few, their history and whether the group is still active remains something of an enigma. Their original records are difficult to find information about, and almost impossible to find. However, what is certain is that their first 7' was "Son Of Sam" released in '77 and it received limited success in the UK.

Bobby Baby

It all began in the year 1998 in a small Swedish town called Hultsfred. Ella was 14 and bored of football and idiot teenage crushes. So what was she to do? She started listening to pop music of course. Two years earlier she had started to play the guitar and now she wanted to be in a band. All the older guys looked really cool and and got all the cool girls. Ella wanted to be that cool too and also get some chicks to hang out with.
