Black To Comm is an alias for Dekorder label owner Marc Richter's audio excursions. Richter creates his music using scratchy shellac and vinyl records, field recordings, a so called "kitchen gamelan," and more traditional instruments like organs, guitars, pianos and mbiras. The layering and hypnotic repetition of short loops from Psychedelia, Free Jazz, Vaudeville, and various other old recordings reveals alternative melodic dimensions not apparent in the source material.

Emerging from the city's improvised music scene, in the 1990s he became one the world's pre-eminent prepared guitar players. Years active from 1991. Drumm's work expanded to include electroacoustic compositions and live electronic music made with laptop computers and analog modular synthesizers. He has collaborated with many artists working in similar fields, including Japanese guitarist Taku Sugimoto, multi-instrumentalist and producer Jim O'Rourke...

Michael David Quattlebaum Jr. is a 25 year-old New York based performance artist, poet and hip-hop musician who's genius keeps his profile on a steady rise. Founder of performance art collective NO FEAR, Quattlebaum performs regularly under the moniker of Mykki Blanco, an unexpectedly brash alter-ego that manages to simultaneously blend the rap genre's prescribed machismo with references to pioneering hip-hop femme fatales and gay club kids.
