Toshi Reagon (born in 1964) is an American folk/blues musician. She is the daughter of Sweet Honey In The Rock co-founder Bernice Johnson Reagon, with whom she has sometimes collaborated on musical projects.
The Shondes (from the Yiddish for "shame", "monster" or "disgrace",) are a riot grrrl-influenced rock quartet based in Brooklyn, New York. Their songs combine punk rock with classical and traditional jewish music, with emotionally intense lyrics that speak to the band's radical politics. Their debut LP the red sea (produced by tony maimone,) was released on January 8, 2008. The band's original lineup was Louisa Rachel Solomon on bass and lead vocals, Elijah Oberman on violin and vocals, Temim Fruchter on drums and vocals , and Ian Brannigan on guitar.

Boomkat is an electronic and pop music duo consisting of brother-and-sister Kellin Manning and Taryn Manning. Their debut album Boomkatalog.One was released in 2003. The first single "The Wreckoning" hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The new EP, "Runaway", is now available on iTunes as of 6th April 2008. In a recent interview with Taryn in October 2005's issue of NYLON, she mentioned that BOOMKat would be back eventually, and that she is currently writing songs for the new album once they find another record label.

Darius Rucker (born May 13, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina[1]) is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the American rock band Hootie & The Blowfish, of which he has been a member since the band's inception in 1989. Along with his work in Hootie & The Blowfish, Rucker recorded one studio album, entitled Back to Then, on Hidden Beach Recordings in 2002. In 2008, he signed to Capitol Nashville and charted his first solo single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It", the first single from his first country album Learn To Live.
Charles Spearin, founding member of Do Make Say Think, Broken Social Scene and K.C. Accidental released his debut album, The Happiness Project, on Feb. 14, 2009. The Happiness Project mixes music with spoken interviews which Spearin conducted on persons living in his own neighborhood. A theme throughout each interview is the subject of happiness. According to the album's liner notes, after the interviews Spearin would listen to the playback "for moments that were interesting in both meaning and melody," Spearin wrote.
