Chris Duckenfield

After being introduced to Dance music via early Hip Hop and electro, his tastes were later influenced by the Sheffield illegal party scene in the late eighties, where the Forgemasters DJ's would be instrumental in his musical education. Chris has been playing music as a D.J since 1989, keen to play the music he heard outside his home town, alongside the by now famous 'Sheffield sound'. His first residency was at the Limit club in Sheffield, the night went from 150 to 1200 people in three weeks, and became something of a legendary event.

Today,Consequence of Sound exclusively premiered the a mixtape, featuring exclusive remixes of Katy B, Theophilus London and Afrojack, that he made especially for Thursday September 22nd’s Check Yo Ponytail show at El Rey. Gigamesh will share the bill that night with Miami Horror, Class Actress, LA Girlfriend and Franki Chan.

Now in San Francisco, Moralez began playing records at Rebecca's weekly at The Top, as well as at Liquid, and other DJ bars. It wasn't long before he got his own residency on Fridays at The Top, playing alongside Buck, Miguel Migs, Lance Desardi, J.T. Donaldson, Wally Callerio, Joeski, Onionz, the Idjut Boys, Joshua Iz, Solar, Mark E. The Deadbeats

There are, at least, four bands known as The Deadbeats: 1) An early punk band 2) A UK downtempo group. 3) A Swedish rock group. 4) A funky, jazzy hip-hop band currently residing in Honolulu Hawaii. 1) An early LA art punk band on the legendary Dangerhouse Records label. In 1978 they released their first and only EP titled Kill The Hippies. Anton Zap

Anton Zap was born in Moscow in 1979. He studied Chinese for 7 years and then embarked on a 2 year sound engineering course. He started collecting wax from a very young age and in the mid 90’s he joined Moscow’s underground lounge group, Tetris, led by Vlad Lozinsky. He was resident DJ at one of Moscow’s leading clubs, Propaganda from 1997-2005. He later started his own band, Papaztrio alongside Pavel Hotin and Yuriy Shulgin.
