Boy Genius

The Brooklyn, New York band Boy Genius creates anthemic pop music that relies on both the 80s indie rock and 60s pop traditions as benchmarks for their sound. They have been called the "quintessential American college radio band," by Indie MP3. The group released their debut album Anchorage in 2008. Their second album Staggering, recorded and produced by Mitch Easter, will be released in January 2010.

He is most notable as the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie; his other projects include The Postal Service and All-Time Quarterback. He has also created music under his name and under the band Pinwheel. Gibbard appeared as a guest on Jimmy Tamborello's (his Postal Service collaborator) Dntel album entitled Life is Full of Possibilities (2001) - Specifically, he contributed vocals to the song "(This Is) The Dream of Evan and Chan.

Brian Williams is a British electronic musician often credited for creating the genre with albums recorded under the name Lustmord. Williams started recording as Lustmord in 1980 before joining SPK in 1982.
Lustmord has extracted field recordings made in crypts, caves, and slaughterhouses, and combined it with occasional ritualistic incantations and Tibetan horns. His treatments of acoustic phenomena encased in digitally expanded bass rumbles have a dark ambient quality.
