November 2003 -- Operation Emerald They move to Seattle with little more than their guitars, hoping to absorb the juice of the previous and current musical heroes in that fine city, while on the lookout for a bassist and drummer to form a whole rock band.
There are at least two artists with this name: 1. Pond is an Australian outfit led by two core members of Tame Impala. Pond is free spirited Psychedelic Garage-Glam of the highest order from some very young, very talented 'Perth-onalities'. It all presents an opportunity for the members to change instruments more freely live experiment with recording. Pond is a hard band to pin down, not that you'll want to.
There is more than one Lockjaw: 1) Lockjaw was formed in Portland, Oregon around 1980 by Del Murry (guitar), Tony Arcudi (vocals), Eric Couch (bass), and Rob Parker (drums)... the band played clubs like The Met, 13th Precinct, and the Satyricon in the early days. By 1984 drummer Rob Parker was replaced with Jeremy J., and guitarist Garrett Garitano was added to the lineup. By that time Lockjaw was labeled "Portland's most hated band."
