Detroit Hip-Hop's Ambassador to the World. Michael "HouseShoes" Buchanan has been an integral part of the long burgeoning Motown resurgence. Ask the people coming out of Detroit and they will confirm all of this. Houseshoes, a resident DJ at the Hip-Hop staple St. Andrews Hall from 1994-2004, has had personal influence over (at least) a full generation of emcees, producers, and then-future-DJs. Ben Gibbard (born August 11, 1976 in Bremerton, Washington) is an American musician and songwriter who has formed several indie bands. He is most notable as the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie; his other projects include The Postal Service and All-Time Quarterback. He has also created music under his name and under the band Pinwheel. Gibbard appeared as a guest on Jimmy Tamborello's (his Postal Service collaborator) Dntel album entitled Life is Full of Possibilities (2001) - Specifically, he contributed vocals to the song "(This Is) The Dream of Evan and Chan.

Steven Paul "Elliott" Smith (August 6, 1969 – October 21, 2003) was an American songwriter and musician. Smith was born in Omaha, Nebraska, raised primarily in Texas, and resided for a significant portion of his life in Portland, Oregon, where he first gained popularity. His primary instrument was the guitar, but he was also proficient at piano, clarinet, bass, drums and harmonica. Smith had a distinctive vocal style characterized by his "whispery, spiderweb-thin delivery" and use of multi-tracking to create vocal harmonies.

There are at least four groups known as The Other Guys. 1.) The Other Guys is an alternative hip-hop duo consisting of Mighty Joe & Isaiah Insanate Mensah, from the DC area. 2.) The Other Guys is an all-male a cappella group from the University of Illinois, and was founded in the 1968-69 school year. 3.) The Other Guys also refers to an all-male a capella band from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. They have an album called 'Well Sung' and have found recent hit success with their youtube video 'Royal Romance'
