SND

Mark Fell and Mat Steel formed SND in 1998 and were quickly placed at the forefront of new digital minimalism. With a series of influential releases on their own label SND and on the now defunct Frankfurt Mille Plateaux, SND pioneered a sound that combined the linear minimalism of Ryoji Ikeda and Oval, with the rhythmic geometry of techno artists such as Thomas Brinkmann or Derrick May. SND promote an approach to the organization of sound, space and form that owes more to origami than any time based medium.

John McGrath

1. John McGrath (b.1984) is a Dublin-born guitarist, based in Liverpool. He composes music incorporating contemporary solo fingerstyle, ambient drones, improvisation, and textural loops. A member of Magic Youth Club, Specific Ocean, and Echoland, John has also recently performed with Rhys Chatham, the aPAtT Orchestra, and Dustin Wong.

Benny Greb

Benny Greb, born 13.06.80 in Augsburg (near Munich-Germany)
Autodidactic Drummer since the age of 6. Started taking trumpet and piano lessons and the same time. First drumlessons at the age of the 12. Involved in serveral Cover- and Jazz-Bands. After his musical studies he moved to Hamburg in 2001.
The following year perfomance at the World Drum Festival.
2003 Release of the Benny Greb-DVD titled "Vorschlag".

Chicken Shack

Chicken Shack are a British blues band, founded in the 1965 by Stan Webb (guitar and vocals), Andy Silvester (bass guitar), and Alan Morley (drums), who were later joined by Christine Perfect (vocals and keyboards) in 1968. Front man and guitarist Stan Webb was born in London in 1946. The group began their blues playing on the Blue Horizon label in a similar style to the early Fleetwood Mac. Singer Christine Perfect left after marrying John McVie (bassist) with Fleetwood Mac. Christine later joined Fleetwood Mac in their second reincarnation.

Tim Berne

Tim Berne (born 1954) is an American jazz saxophone player and composer. Though Berne was a music fan, he had no interest in playing a musical instrument until he was in college, when he purchased an alto saxophone. He was more interested in rhythm and blues music--Stax records releases and Aretha Franklin, especially--until he heard a recording by Julius Hemphill. Hemphill was known for his integration of soul music and funk with free jazz. Berne moved to New York City in 1974. There Berne took lessons from Hemphill, and later recorded with him.

William Basinski

William Basinski (Houston, 1958), a New York-based classically-trained clarinetist and saxophonist, specializes in compositions for loops and drones. He began experimenting with compositions for piano and tape that created a melancholy ambience via looped and overdubbed melodies with Variations - A Movement in Chrome Primitive (1980), released on Variations - A Movement in Chrome Primitive (Durtro, 2002 - Die Stadt, 2004), and A Red Score in Tile (1979), released on A Red Score in Tile (3 Poplars, 2003).

Trio Tekke

Trio Tekke specialises in traditional Greek Rembetika with a modern twist. The three musicians, two Cypriots and an Anglo-Chilean, combine the traditional with contemporary reggae and Latin rhythms, amongst others. They revel in playful improvisations, ensuring their renditions of these traditional songs, describing the joy, sorrows and difficulties of everyday life, have an air of innovation and sophistication.
