Close Shave
The band started at Birmingham in 1986 under the line up: Rich - vocals, Paul (Dirk) - guitar, Neil (Lurch) - bass, Steve - drums. With this line up they played a few gigs and recorded some demo tracks and also recorded the song 'The Law' for 'The Sound Of Oi!' compilation. Rich joined the army and was replaced by Martin (Fluffy). They released their first lp in 1988 under the title 'Oi! Kinnock Give Us Back Our Rose' and in 1990 their second lp 'Hard As Nails'. Neil took the vocals duties when Martin left the band and Sid from Section 5 came to bass.
The Dynamites
There have been at least five bands called The Dynamites.
1. An instrumental/beat band from Sarpsborg, Norway who excisted from 1958-1966. They released two singles on the Troll label and did a tour of East Germany in 1965. Two of the members went on to the freakbeat group The Divorced.
2. A garage/R&B/freakbeat band from Basel, Switzerland.
3. A 60s garage rock band from Japan (????????) which featured a slide guitar (unusual for a Japanese band at the time).
Agent Bulldogg
Agent Bulldogg (R.I.P) were one of Swedens biggest Oi! band. Their lyrics are about life, violence, alcohol, Sweden and friends. They've realesed two full-length cd's and some singles.
Attak
Formed in early 1981 in New Mills, Manchester, as a four piece band, Attak reverted to a trio when their singer left for school commitments. They released two singles in this form, with Lindsay, sister of Mackie from Blitz, being the drummer. A new guitarist was recruited for their album before they split up in late 1983. Gary later turned up in a revamped Blitz and provided the vocals on their "Killing Dream" album. Gary and Lindsay married in 1985.
Stage Bottles
Their motto being "sometimes antisocial but always antifascist," the Stage Bottles formed in the early 1990s as an anti-bonehead Oi! band from Frankfurt, Germany. The group acknowledges the Angelic Upstarts, the Oppressed and the Blaggers as their main influences.
Tabularasa
There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Tabularasa is a 4 piece from Swansea, pumping out riff heavy good time grooves. "Pigeonholed" in such eclectic forms as "Psychadelia", "Doom" and "Alt-Rock", their debut "Born In The Barn" should have something for everyone. Formerly known as "The Marshland Massacre", they are set to release "Born In The Barn" in the near future, with a follow-up record already being planned. www.myspace.com/tabularasasounds
Unclean
There is more than one Unclean.
1. The Unclean were a punk/Oi! band from Detroit Michigan in the late 80's and early 90's. They frequently played shows with bands such as Rival and The Rogues 2. Unclean is a Czech black metal band founded in 1993. They recorded a two-song promo tape the same year and played several gigs in the Czech Republic in 1994 and 1995. In 1995 they released their second demo titled "Tam kdesi v hlubinách" which included 5 songs of occult black/death metal in the Czech style established by bands like Master's Hammer, Amon and Root.
Hel
There are two artists using this name: a Swedish vikingarock band and a German pagan/viking metal band. 1.
