The June Brides were an English pop music group, formed in London in 1983, by Phil Wilson and Simon Beesley of International Rescue. Influenced by Postcard-label bands such as Josef K and -era bands such as The Desperate Bicycles and The Television Personalities, their mix of guitar pop with viola and trumpet formed a blueprint for many of the bands that would follow. Peter Donohoe

Peter Donohoe CBE born in Manchester, 18 June 1953 is the premier English pianist of his generation. He started his musical career as a percussionist with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and he still occasionally performs with Percussion. He was awarded joint-second prize in the 1982 International Tchaikovsky Competition with Vladimir Ovchinnikov (no first prize was awarded that year).

Chicken Shack

Chicken Shack are a British blues band, founded in the 1965 by Stan Webb (guitar and vocals), Andy Silvester (bass guitar), and Alan Morley (drums), who were later joined by Christine Perfect (vocals and keyboards) in 1968. Front man and guitarist Stan Webb was born in London in 1946. The group began their blues playing on the Blue Horizon label in a similar style to the early Fleetwood Mac. Singer Christine Perfect left after marrying John McVie (bassist) with Fleetwood Mac. Christine later joined Fleetwood Mac in their second reincarnation.

Denny Laine

Denny Laine (born Brian Frederick Arthur Hines, 29 October 1944, Tyseley, Birmingham) is an English songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his roles as former guitarist and lead singer of The Moody Blues and, later, co-founder (along with Paul McCartney) of Wings. Laine is of Romani descent and was educated at Yardley Grammar School, in Birmingham. His first solo performance was at the age of twelve.
