David Liebman

Dave Liebman (born on 4 September 1946, Brooklyn, New York) is an American saxophonist and flutist. Liebman is a New Yorker, and a History graduate from New York University. He learned both piano and saxophone as a boy but had no formal jazz education. In the late sixties he worked with Pete La Roca, Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Steve Swallow, amongst others, before joining Elvin Jones's band. Alexander von Schlippenbach

Alexander von Schlippenbach (* 1938 in Berlin) is a German jazz pianist and composer.
Schlippenbach started to play piano from the age of 8 and went on to study composition at Cologne under Bernd Alois Zimmermann. While studying he started to play with Manfred Schoof. At the age of 28 he founded the Globe Unity Orchestra.
He produced various recordings and worked for German radio channels. He played with many essential players of the European free jazz community, most notably in the "Alexander von Schlippenbach Trio" with drummer Paul Lovens and saxophonist Evan Parker.

Marc Ducret

Marc Ducret was born in Paris, France in 1957, and began his professional career as a self-taught musician in 1975, playing with dance bands, folklore groups and singers and doing a lot of studio work. Interested in a very wide range of styles and instruments (acoustic and electric 12-string guitars, oud, fretless and baritone guitars), Ducret was a member of the first National Jazz Orchestra in France in 1986, and also led his own trio which gave many concerts and performed in numerous festivals in France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Africa, India, and Japan.

RED trio

Formed by three musicians from the new improvised music Lisbon scene, RED trio features Rodrigo Pinheiro at the piano, Hernâni Faustino at the doublebass and Gabriel Ferrandini at the drums. The trio was formed in 2007 as a response to a challenge posed by Hernâni Faustino. RED Trio explores one of the most prolific jazz formations: piano/doublebass/drums. The trio's music is characterized for being fast, energic, highly focused, dynamic and sometimes nervous and violent.
