American Music Club (often abbreviated AMC) is a San Francisco-based band led by singer-songwriter Mark Eitzel. For 8 months in 2011 they lived in an apartment on Berlin’s Bergstrasse, on the western edges of what used to be the East. They got a 1968 Schwalbe moped – model KR-51 – and sped around the city at a velocity the congested New York streets would have prohibited.

After years of writing and performing together in the drunken brewery town of Burton-Upon-Trent both guitar players parted ways as Jacob left for art school in Cornwall and Tom set off to travel across Europe. The pair would re-unite years later on the south-eastern shores of the UK and the creative Mecca of Brighton.
