The Drastics

Chicago Dub Massive!
http://www.thedrastics.com Hailing from Chicago, The Drastics bring a distinctive edge to their take on reggae and dub. The band started out as a strictly instrumental act showcasing exotic winding melodies on strange instruments and live dub effects in the vein of the classic producers. After some early lineup changes, the foundation of the band became the rhythm machine of drummer/producer Anthony Abbinanti and bassist Chris Merrill. They have since added vocalists Fada Dougou and MC Zulu to the mix, broadening the band's already deep musical range.

DJ Rush

DJ Rush, born Isaah Major in Chicago, Illinois, was exposed to Chicago house music at a young age, and began DJing in the late 80's/early 90's. He later defected to Berlin, Germany where he and his record label (Kne Deep) have been promoting harder schranz techno ever since. He is nice, and doesn't like to be confused with Carl Cox. ;)

On An On

On a cloudy night in Austin, Texas during the annual SXSW festival, the three members of ON AN ON were waiting in line to see Mike Snow; they were a bit sweaty, undeniably hungry, and, well, kind of drunk. The Chicago & Minneapolis-based musicians – Nate Eiesland, Alissa Ricci, and Ryne Estwing — that comprise the band had played music with one another in various capacities for the better part of a decade — most recently as members of indie-pop outfit Scattered Trees, with whom they were performing that very weekend.

The Heligoats

The Heligoats are an indie/rock band out of bellingham washington. Webpage: www.theheligoats.com
Label: Greyday Records www.greydayproductions.com From NPR:
The Heligoats — a strange name for a guy strumming a guitar, but oddly befitting someone who stuffs his songs with so many sideways ideas and observations. Given the yarns he spins here, it's easy to imagine Otepka envisioning a herd of goats with propellers and setting the concept to music. From Daytrotter:
