hard techno

pattrix

I grew up in and around a small town called "Saint-Quentin" in the north of France. There is not much to do in Saint-Quentin, but in the late 1990s I discovered clubbing and soon was spending my weekends in the little village of "Peck" in Belgium. My fellow mate Greg was renting a tiny studio flat in Lille near the border of Belgium and France that quickly turned out to be our melting pot, the point de rendez-vous of our epic rides to the Cherry Moon, Fuse and H2O.

Space DJz

There are few Djz and producers in the modern techno world who can truly claim to have pioneered a style and sound, and call it their own. Such statements are often declared, but rarely justified. In the case of Ben Long and Jamie Bissmire, the names behind the revered Space DJz this claim would be unarguable.??Ever since the pair's formation in the early 1900's their unerring ability to fuse techno with their life long love of Hip Hop, has set them aside from there peers.

The Outside Agency

The Outside Agency are DJ Hidden and Eye-D, hardcore and drum & bass artists from Goes, Netherlands. The Producers As true dissidents within the hardcore scene, The Outside Agency has always had its own unique sound. This was already evident on their first release, which they produced for Mokum Records in 1996. After that period hardcore suffered a drastic change in direction and the two members of TOA no longer felt at home in the genre and focused their attention on drum & bass instead.

There is more than one Lockjaw: 1) Lockjaw was formed in Portland, Oregon around 1980 by Del Murry (guitar), Tony Arcudi (vocals), Eric Couch (bass), and Rob Parker (drums)... the band played clubs like The Met, 13th Precinct, and the Satyricon in the early days. By 1984 drummer Rob Parker was replaced with Jeremy J., and guitarist Garrett Garitano was added to the lineup. By that time Lockjaw was labeled "Portland's most hated band."
