Great Big Sea

Great Big Sea (often shortened to GBS) is a Canadian folk-rock band from Newfoundland and Labrador, best known for performing energetic rock interpretations of traditional Newfoundland folk songs. The band also performs original material. On March 11, 2010, Great Big Sea celebrated their seventeenth birthday as a band. And like almost every one of their many anniversaries spent together, they celebrated it by playing a concert, this one in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Cruel Sea

The Cruel Sea is a multi-ARIA Award winning 90s Australian rock/blues outfit. Originally an instrumental band focused on surf sounds, the addition of vocalist Tex Perkins (also a member of The Beasts Of Bourbon and a solo artist) proved an inspired decision. Combining the charismatic Perkins with the highly talented musicians created an unstoppable force through much of the 90s. Members of the band continue to perform, though with the exception of Perkins, most activity is fairly low key.

Self described as "Good guys, bad band." Armchair Martian is a Fort Collins, CO based punk-rock group with a strong Country Music influence. They are closely linked to Bad Astronaut and Drag the River, a seperate band, yet which features two current and one former member. The only two consistent members are Jon Snodgrass (guitar, vocals) and Paul Rucker (drums). It is a running joke in the band that their bassists never last long...

Unida

Unida was an American band that was formed after the dissolution of Kyuss and Slo Burn. The band originally consisted of John Garcia (vocals), Arthur Seay (guitar), Miguel Cancino (drums) and Dave Dinsmore (bass). Dinsmore was later replaced by Scott Reeder, who was in turn replaced by Eddie Plascencia. Paul Gray of Slipknot also played with the band as a touring bassist. In 1999, the band appeared on a split CD release with Swedish band Dozer.

Crime & the City Solution

Crime & the City Solution were a rock group headed by Australian singer/songwriter Simon Bonney and active between the years of 1977-1991. Despite roots dating back as far as 1978, Crime & the City Solution did not truly emerge until 1984, coming to life in the wake of the dissolution of the seminal Birthday Party. Crime & the City Solution had many members over the years, which can be divided into four distinct line-ups: Sydney in 1977-78, Melbourne in 1979, and two groupings in Berlin. The only common member in all four line-ups was Bonney.

Tinker

There is more than one artist with this name. 1. Tinker from Canada... Tinker was the first band of bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, also featuring her current guitarist Steve Durand. Tinker released two 7" records - Real A Lie (which was later redone by Auf der Maur) and Green Machine.
