Svartsot

Since 2005, SVARTSOT has conveyed their distinctive blend of metal and folk music with a hint of the medieval age. Besides crushing guitars, bass and drums, the music is flavoured with the tones of authentic folk instruments such as whistles, mandolins and bagpipes adding the ruthless medieval feel, and melodies that only a lobotomy can remove from the head. Inspiration for SVARTSOT’s lyrics is found in the wealth of Danish folklore and history, and the merciless growled vocals of Thor (yes that is his real name!) are therefore entirely delivered in Danish.

Nothnegal

The Maldive Islands evoke images of an insular paradise before the eyes of a stranger. Like a double row of pearls hundreds of coral islands forming 26 atolls spread from north to south in the gentle breeze of the Indian Ocean. At first the hard sound of Metal seems a contradiction to picturesque white beaches, palm trees and blue sunny skies. Yet now NOTHNEGAL are embarking to teach the world otherwise with their international debut album.

The band was formed in 1998, when all of the members were 12 years old, except for Bonzy, who was only 8. Following a longtime musical career, the four of them recorded 3 albums under the name of "Kaskadiori" , with each album marking a definitive change in style from the blues-orientated hard rock of the first to the more heavy/sludge metal sound, explored in the most recent recordings.
