Arbiter

There are at least two bands using this name:
1) Arbiter is a metal band known for their clear-cut mix of many types of metal and hardcore music. From dark, brooding elements to nearly humorous passages, Arbiter's music truly spans the spectrum. Arbiter formed in late 2009 and in late 2010 the band had self-recorded and self-released 'Colossus', their critically acclaimed debut album. Only a year later and Arbiter has landed aboard Famined Records and will soon unleash their sophomore effort 'Ironclad/Machinations', a "split-album" that explores the concept of having two sides to one story.

Oh, Sleeper

Oh, Sleeper is a band from Fort Worth, Texas signed to Solid State Records. Oh, Sleeper formed in April of 2006 after former members of short-lived rock band Terminal got together with former Between the Buried and Me guitarist Shane Blay. Eventually they found a vocalist in Micah Kinard and began practicing. As the 4 members began sledging through all the normal problems of a band start-up (no place to practice, no money and different schedules) the biggest obstacle was finding the last and final member.

Artist Type:

In Trenches

On their sophomore release the Melbourne conglomerate that is IN TRENCHES returns a reworked, more advanced and specifically intensified beast. Without diverting from their overall dissonance and rhythmically complex approach, Sol Obscura sees the band having ventured deeper into heavy dirges and progressive compositions and returned with stunning results. Giant walls of guitar noise reach into the human psyche, with output flowing over 27 minutes across 5 unique tracks.

Artist Type:

Codeca

After the split of the Southport based four piece, MeForYou, in 2005. Three of the members decided that they wanted to carry on making music, but take it in a slightly different direction. Jay Rowe, Phil Ball and Bear, made this decision half way through the recording of MeForYou's final Ep 'I Hope a Car Comes Crashing Through Your Wall'. Helping out with the recording was long time friend Gre Hale, who had also been in a number of Southport bands (e.g. Skirmish, ThirteenEve) and was really into the sound that the others wanted to achieve.
