The Daydream Club

Acclaimed acoustic duo The Daydream Club (Adam Pickering and Paula Walker) didn't start performing together until February 2010, despite having met years before whilst studying at Paul McCartney's prestigious University, The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). "Really astonishing musicianship... they met at LIPA, so no wonder they're so bloomin' good." BBC 6 Tom Robinson Their debut album was released worldwide via their own label (Poco Poco Records) in November 2010. It includes crowd favourites The Record Shop, On The Move, The Affair and English Rain.

Mirah

Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn was born September 17, 1974, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has released a number of albums under the K Records label. She has collaborated with her close friend Phil Elvrum of The Microphones and has also worked extensively with The Black Cat Orchestra. Mirah is the youngest of three children and lived in Bala Cynwyd, a suburb of Philadelphia for most of her childhood. She then moved to Olympia, Washington and attended The Evergreen State College. She is modest and deliberate, prefers privacy to invasion and reconciliation to war.

The April Maze

April Maze are an Alternative Folk duo. Sivan (aka April) plays cello and sings (at the same time) - her voice is soulful and bluesy. Todd accompanies her on guitars, banjo, vocals and stomp box. Their music is primarily cello, and stomp box driven, coloured with strong vocal harmonies, and occasional samples and loops. Musical influences include Fleetwood Mac, John Butler Trio, Pearl Jam, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Tracey Chapman, Carole King, Cat Stevens, and "all music that comes from the heart".

Bridie Jackson and the Arbour

Bridie Jackson & The Arbour are from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK . They launched their début album, Bitter Lullabies, with a sold-out show at The Sage Gateshead in January 2012.

She comes from a musical family, and while travelling Europe with her father, she was introduced to many musical styles including the Portuguese Fado tradition, the influence of which can be heard in her work.

Dave Dixon

Dave Dixon has been writing stirring acoustic folk songs since the supple timid age of 14. He grew up in Weston-super-Mare but is now based in LDN. He likes the countryside and nature and animals and trees and mountains and outdoors and camping. He is not a hippie. With new songs and backing vocals he brings his evocative woodland sound to venues in/and/or around London. His main influences are other alt folk artists such as Bon Iver, Fionn Regan and Feist.

Redwood Red

Redwood Red is the musical project of Cathy Cardin. Part of the Willkommen collective, her music takes influences from the alternative folk genre and other musicians in the collective. She collaborates with other musicians in the Willkommen Collective and sings with Sons of Noel and Adrian and the Laish Quartet. She is in the process of recording her music.

Hexvessel

Hexvessel is a psychedelic folk-rock band that was founded by Englishman Mat "Kvohst" McNerney, vocalist for blackmetal bands Dødheimsgard and Code. He moved to Finland in 2009 and was joined by a coven of musicians from Tampere that feature members of Galacticka and Dark Buddha Rising. Fusing late 1960s and early 1970s English folk and psychedelia with a love for Finnish nature, pagan mysticism, folklore and the occult, they play a witches brew of acoustic balladry and heavy tripped-out atmospherics. Interior-world-music for secret ceremonies and forest rituals.
