Slint

Slint was a math rock band consisting of Brian McMahan (guitar and vocals), David Pajo (guitar), Britt Walford (drums), Todd Brashear (bass on Spiderland) and Ethan Buckler (bass on Tweez). They formed in Louisville, Kentucky, United States in 1986. Though they disbanded circa 1991, they are considered to be a major influence on the post-hardcore, math rock, and post-rock scenes. Slint's first album Tweez was recorded by legendary engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989.

Years of Rice and Salt is a 5-piece instrumental rock / folk band based in London, United Kingdom. They were formed in Summer '08 and released their debut EP entitled Service Bell EP on 31st January 2009. The EP is a themed collection of songs navigating the timeline of a shipwreck through music.

The Pirate Ship Quintet is a post-rock band comprising 7 members, originally from Bournemouth and Bristol. Their cellist is a full time member of one of Britain’s most commended symphony orchestras as well as being a stand in for the famous 'London Symphony Orchestra'. The hugely praised debut, self-titled EP, mastered by Cult Of Luna's Magnus Lindberg, was released in April 2007. The band is currently working on their follow up record which is likely to be a full length album.
