marlo eggplant

Marlo Eggplant was born in Baltimore, MD. She was originally trained in voice, classical guitar, piano, and cello. She began her musical career favoring folk and punk by playing local venues as a teen. When she attended college in the Berkshires, she became more interested in avant garde and bizarre musics. In 2003, she co-founded Spleencoffin records with Timothy Wisniewski. She was the drummer in the short lived improvisational deconstructed noise rock band, Hazardous Guadalupe.

Rose McDowall

Rose McDowall (born 21 October 1959, in Glasgow, Scotland, UK) is a Scottish musician, most notably as a vocalist in the bubblegum pop band Strawberry Switchblade. McDowall's first venture into music was in The Poems, an art-punk trio formed in 1978 with her husband Drew McDowall. She formed Strawberry Switchblade in 1981 with Jill Bryson. After signing with Warner Brothers they enjoyed chart success with their single "Since Yesterday" in 1984, however later singles and an album did not sell as well as expected. This and internal problems lead to an acrimonious split in 1986.

Hexvessel

Hexvessel is a psychedelic folk-rock band that was founded by Englishman Mat "Kvohst" McNerney, vocalist for blackmetal bands Dødheimsgard and Code. He moved to Finland in 2009 and was joined by a coven of musicians from Tampere that feature members of Galacticka and Dark Buddha Rising. Fusing late 1960s and early 1970s English folk and psychedelia with a love for Finnish nature, pagan mysticism, folklore and the occult, they play a witches brew of acoustic balladry and heavy tripped-out atmospherics. Interior-world-music for secret ceremonies and forest rituals.

Brown Bird

Brown Bird is an American acoustic band. Pulling from the influences of the blues, outlaw country, roots rock, early American folk, Gypsy and Eastern European music, Brown Bird offers harmonized voices, haunting lyrics and diverse rhythm and instrumentation, which surges in waves that often swell into high-spirited, foot-stomping madness. Brown Bird began in 2003, and has since toured extensively, including a European stint supporting RI-based band The Low Anthem. There are several bands called Svalbard. 1) a metal band from Silesia, Poland 2) a martial/darkwave band from Homel, Belarus. 3) A modern melodic hardcore band wth dramatic tendencies from Bristol, UK. 1] The initial idea of this band arouse in 2004. Luca Turilli's Rhapsody

Luca Turilli's Rhapsody is the name of the new band of the Italian composer Luca Turilli due to the friendly split between Luca Turilli and Alex Starpoli (main composers of the bands Rhapsody and Rhapsody of Fire). The addition of Luca's name before Rhapsody is due to the same legal reasons of the past not allowing him to use the word Rhapsody alone. The Owl Service

Formed June 2006 in Leigh-on-sea. Core members; Steven Collins and Jo Lepine, augmented by Nancy Wallace (of The Memory Band), Dom Cooper and Diana Collier. Single biggest influence; Paul Giovanni - an outsider who sensed what was at the heart of traditional British music, grasped it and created a sonic masterpiece combining traditional elements with his own trad-inspired original material. The Owl Service wouldn't exsist without him.
