Akasha

At least five bands have used the name "Akasha." The first was a Norwegian spacey, electronic prog band, who recorded one album in 1977. For more information on the band, visit progarchives.com. The second Akasha is a Swedish group consisting of five women. The group was inspired by Sri Chinmoy's poetry and songs, and started to sing and play together in 1982. Since then the group has been giving concerts in Sweden regularly and has also been on tours in Finland, France, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

Samsara Blues Experiment

Samsara Blues Experiment are a Berlin based band, founded in Summer 2007 by leadguitarist/singer Christian Peters. They went through several changes in the first period but are in constant line-up since September 2008 featuring Hans Eiselt (guitar), drummer Thomas Vedder and Richard Behrens (bass). As the band name implies, three elemental aspects are to notice - the blues as the foundation where it all comes from, the inclusion of spiritual influences accompanied by Indian/raga music and the experimental approach to mix up varied elements in a convincing manner.

Rose McDowall

Rose McDowall (born 21 October 1959, in Glasgow, Scotland, UK) is a Scottish musician, most notably as a vocalist in the bubblegum pop band Strawberry Switchblade. McDowall's first venture into music was in The Poems, an art-punk trio formed in 1978 with her husband Drew McDowall. She formed Strawberry Switchblade in 1981 with Jill Bryson. After signing with Warner Brothers they enjoyed chart success with their single "Since Yesterday" in 1984, however later singles and an album did not sell as well as expected.
