D.B-H. - Drums Cruciamentum, meaning “torture” in Latin seemed a suitably sinister banner for which to form the band beneath. The aim of Cruciamentum was to play dark, claustrophobic death metal influenced by bands such as Incantation, Demigod, Abhorrence, Rottrevore, Necros Christos, Immolation, and Morbid Angel.

Angra Mainyu is a depressive black metal band found 2002 in Germany. As typical for this genre their lyrics are focused on themes like sorrow, depression, blasphemy and death. In ancient Persian religion and books of Zoroastrianism, Angra Mainyu is the god of darkness, the eternal destroyer of good, personification and creator of evil, bringer of death and disease. He is also known as Ahriman, and his name means "fiendish spirit".

Immortal is a prominent black metal band from Bergen, Norway. The group began in 1989 as "Amputation", a death metal band. Immortal's early full-length releases were of a traditional, yet complex black metal style, but their acclaimed album At the Heart of Winter saw the band begin to experiment with a fusion of black metal and German thrash. The resulting sound was a style which characterized Immortal's later works. Immortal has been influential to many modern metal artists. Immortal's founders; Abbath and Demonaz, have attained a legendary status in the Scandinavian heavy metal scene.

TERZIJ DE HORDE combine an amalgam of progressive black and doom metal with a rawness and live presence reminiscent of extreme hardcore or chaotic screamo.

Terzij de Horde is old Dutch for “set apart from the horde”. It is a line from the poem “Einde” (ending) by legendary Dutch poet Hendrik Marsman. Marsman is an inspiration to the band, as are many other authors and philosophers in the same dark, vitalistic vein.
