Jenny Hval (b. 1980) has in recent years made a name for herself as a writer, journalist, recording artist and sound artist both in Norway and abroad. When her third record Viscera was released in 2011, Italian Vogue described her as:
Kenneth Ishak was born May 26th 1978, he is half Norwegian and half Malay. His interest in music started when he was three years old and went to music school, and when he was sixteen he started the powerpop-band Beezewax together with some friends. They have released five albums and are considered one of Norway's top live acts. As a solo artist, Kenneth has released three albums so far; Northern Exposure in 2004, Everything Has Soul in 2005 and Silver Lightning From A Black Sky in 2007.

1) Norwegian Band
After a week of borrowing each other's records, Amulet recorded their first demo in September 1993. Little did they know that this was the beginning of a working relationship spanning over a decade. They formed as a three piece with Lars Rasmussen on guitar, Torgny Amdam on vocals/drums and Arne Haabeth on bass. The two first official releases dabbled in teenage sentimentality: the self-titled debut and the Engrave EP were emo before emo achieved genre-status.
There is more than one band called The Phantoms: 1. 60s surf rock band. 2. The Phantoms is a ska group from Oslo, Norway formed in 1996. The first line-up included Leo Fossen from the legendary norwegian hip-hop act B.O.L.T. Warhead on vocals. The Launderettes are an all-female group from Norway who play what they describe as "raw 60's garage punk". The group is led by the self-proclaimed "scream queen" Ingvild Nordang, alongside Linda Kastbakken (Guitar & Backing Vocals), Siri Eriksen (Bass & Backing Vocals), Ragna Nordenborg (Keyboards & Backing Vocals), and Cecile Asker (Drums & Percussions). They released their first two singles back in 2000 - Rebel Love was released on the Norweigan Label Sneakers Records, and I Wanna Jump Your Bones on German Label Thunderbaby Records.

Solefald is a metal band from Norway that was formed by members Lars Are "Lazare" Nedland and Cornelius Jakhelln in August 1995, with Lars singing and playing keyboard/synthesizer/piano and drums, and Cornelius singing and playing guitar and bass. The meaning of the band's name is best explained in an interview from Century Media Records website. Lazare states "Solefald is an old norse word for sunset. We "stole" it from a painting by the Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen.

She is a componist, keyboardist & vocalist who was discovered by ABON - a genuine multi-talent and a long-time collaborator of Norwegian guitar maestro RONNI LE TEKRO (TNT, RYPDAL & TEKRO etc.) 2)She is also a composer, keyboardist and vocalist. She was born in Kyoto, Japan. She moved to Norway in 1995 as a graduate student, completed her Master’s program in cultural sciences at the University of Bergen in 2004.
