Carpathian Forest (previously known as "The Childmolesters", then "Enthrone") emerged with the demo tape "Bloodlust and Perversion" in 1992. In 1993 the band released a second demo: Journey Through the Cold Moors of Svarttjern. The following year, Forest signed to Avantgarde Music and recorded their first EP, Through Chasm, Caves and Titan Woods in 1995, followed by the debut album Black Shining Leather in 1998.

Maja Solveig Kjelstrup Ratkje, composer and performer (born Dec. 29th 1973 in Trondheim, Norway), finished composition studies at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo in 2000. Her compositions have been performed by Oslo Sinfonietta, The Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Arve Tellefsen, Cikada and Vertavo string quartets, Quatuor Renoir, ticom, Crash Ensemble, Torben Snekkestad, Spunk, Frode Haltli and Poing among others.
Edvard Grieg was a Norwegian composer of the Romantic period, born in Bergen in 1843. Being the first famous composer from his country, he tried to develop a distinctly Norwegian style of composition. He is known for his Piano Concerto in A minor, his Lyric Pieces for piano, and the music he wrote to accompany the Ibsen play Peer Gynt. The influence of Norwegian folk music is palpable in much of his work.
Leaves' Eyes is a symphonic metal band with folk metal elements from Stavanger, Norway and Ludwigsburg, Germany. The band assembled in 2003, shortly before singer Liv Kristine was fired from Theatre of Tragedy. Leaves' Eyes currently consists of Liv Kristine (female vocals), Alexander Krull (male vocals, programming), Sander van der Meer (guitars), Thorsten Bauer (guitars/Bass), and Roland Navratil (drums & percussion). 2003: - The Sickening was founded by guitarist Markspist (ex-Slagmark) & drummer Beist (ex-Slagmark, ex- Blood Red Throne). They got some other members to complete the band: Stig (Violated, ex-Slagmark), Hans (Violated) & Ola Langli (Panzerskrekk).
But due to other commitments, this line-up did not stay alive. - Over the next few years, more dedication was put into this and it was decided by Beist & Markspist that once again they wanted to make The Sickening into a full-time band. 2007: - The band became a full quartet with the addition of Stjernestøv on vocals and Neeraj on bass.
