Ex Libris

There are at least two bands with the name Ex Libris. One of them is a sludge/stoner metal band from Wilmington, Germany. This article is about the Dutch one with this name.
The Dutch band Ex Libris brings new power and a fresh, exciting sound to the world of symphonic heavy metal. Combining the melodic structure of classical music with progressive licks and hooks, Ex Libris delivered their first full-length album “Amygdala” in 2008 to great reviews. Frontwoman Dianne van Giersbergen combines powerful, soaring vocals with a dynamic range that is, frankly, intimidating.

Bellusira

Bellusira is a rock band from Melbourne, Victoria that formed in 2006. They exploded onto the live rock scene in 2008. Their single Wide Awake from their debut EP was met with high praise and resulted in a sold out EP launch in The Esplanade’s acclaimed Gershwin Room. The band continued playing to packed out venues across Melbourne and Sydney which saw them placed on prime slots on festivals; Rock the Bay, Moonee Valley, Swarm and headliner of The Big Feed.

Liquid Sky

Formed in 2000, LIQUID SKY first gained attention with their self-released EPs “Adrenochrome” (2001) and “Nightfall” (2003) and album “Bloodline” (2004). Displaying a completely new approach to the ‘female vocals in metal’ genre and featuring songs that showcased a never-before-heard mix of metal ferocity and beautiful melody, these releases helped the band develop and solidify a reputation as Britain’s best-kept metal secret.

Angel

The name Angel is used by at least 11 bands/artists: 1. Angel were discovered by Kiss bassist Gene Simmons who secured them a deal with Casablanca Records in 1975. The original members of the band were Barry Brandt on drums, "Punky" Meadows on guitar, Frank DiMino on vocals, Greg Giuffria on keyboards and Mickey Jones on bass. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1975, was an excellent bit of heavy pomp rock, and their l yrics dealt with battles and events in history.

Orphanage

Orphanage was a Dutch metal band, which existed from 1987 till 2005. They were one of the first Dutch metal band who mixed death metal grunts with clean female vocals. By mixing very different musical styles they have created their own unique sound. In 1996, an era in which several new metal-styles and cross-overs arose in the landscape of metal, they described their style as "Innovative gregorian groovy celtic melodic danceable doom death metal" (great lastfm tag!!) Theatre of Tragedy

Theatre of Tragedy is a gothic metal/death doom metal/industrial rock/futurepop band, originally assembled in 1993 in Stavanger, Norway by Hein Frode Hansen, Raymond István Rohonyi and Lorentz Aspen, together with Tommy Lindal, Pål Bjastad, and Liv Kristine. Their earlier albums have provided a great deal of influence to the gothic metal genre. The band was one of the first ones who made use of contrasting vocals - male bass vocals and death growls and female soprano singing.

There are at least four acts sharing the name Crisis: 1. The most notable and earliest Crisis was a British punk and post-punk band, formed in 1977 which was active until the early eighties. After the dissolution of Crisis, Douglas Pearce and Tony Wakeford formed Death In June in 1981 in England. Luke Rendall joined Theatre of Hate and Lester Jones formed Carcrash International.
