Apoptygma Berzerk is a Norwegian ebm/futurepop/synthrock musical group, formed in 1989. The current lineup includes Stephan Groth (vocals, programming, guitars, samples), Brandon Smith (guitars) and Thomas Jakobsen (drums). The group has achieved moderate commercial success with a unique brand of gloomy, danceable gothic synthpop, winning awards and Top-10 spots in Germany and Scandinavia. The band's name is commonly abbreviated to APOP or APB.
Arabian Prince is the stage name of Mik Lezan (born October 12, 1964 in Inglewood, California), a rapper and hip hop producer, best known for being an original member of the legendary rap group, N.W.A. Born and raised in Inglewood, California, Arabian Prince released a solo album Situation Hot in 1985. In the following year, Arabian Prince joined up with the first gangsta rap group N.W.A. three years after graduating Inglewood High School in Inglewood, CA. He wanted to be an artist in N.W.A.
Sivert Høyem - From september 2009 named Sivert Höyem! Lead singer of Norwegian rock band Madrugada, and solo artist (second album as Sivert Høyem & The Volunteers) with the albums Ladies and Gentlemen of the Opposition (2004), Exiles (2006) and Moonlanding (2009). His unique voice has similarities with both Iggy Pop and Nick Cave as well as with the Doors' Jim Morrison, and his musical neighbours are in this tradition: Melancholic, but melodic rock.
Satyricon is a Norwegian black metal band founded in Oslo, Norway in 1990. Satyr has said “the music is rock based but more extreme; it is black metal pushing the boundaries that began with bands like Venom and Bathory, reinventing ourselves based on a foundation of rock oriented black metal is our philosophy.” Satyricon credit their 1993 first album, Dark Medieval Times, with starting a sub-genre of black metal termed medieval metal. The album displayed their fascination with the Middle Ages, blending extreme metal with acoustic guitar and flute.
There are at least 10 artists called TNT. 1) TNT is a heavy metal band formed in Trondheim, Norway in 1982, by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dag Ingebrigtsen , guitarist Ronni Lé Tekrø , bassist Steinar Eikum and drummer Morten "Diesel" Dahl . They released their self-titled debut album the same year — their only album that features Norwegian lyrics — and got a hit with the single "Harley Davidson".
Eirik and Finn from Twigs teamed up with Halldis from Side Effects and Markus from Paynbird to make some new and wonderful music. The band recorded several songs during the winter of 2005/2006. A three track single was released in April, featuring the songs Six Point Eight, Heart of Mine and Where the Fools are Haunted. In March 2006 Terje joined the band on guitar and keyboards. Later that year, Eirik sadly left the band. Heart of Mine was featured on the compilation cd "Bergen Rock City Vol 2", who was released in China. 10 000 copies were made for distribution there.

Founded in Oslo in 1997, trio mediaeval has developed three distinct strands of repertoire: polyphonic medieval music from England and France, contemporary works and Norwegian medieval ballads and songs. The group's initial phase was inspired by intense periods of work at the Hilliard Summer Festival in England and Germany, and subsequently with Linda Hirst and John Potter. Trio mediaeval has given concerts and radio broadcasts throughout Europe, in the USA and Canada. The ensemble released its first CD on ECM Records in October 2001.
Since 1998 Norwegians John Hegre and Lasse Marhaug have been making sound together as Jazzkammer. Debut album "Timex" in 1999 have been followed by a string of releases on labels like Staalplaat, Abisko, Xerxes, Smalltown Supersound, Utech, Bottrop-Boy and OHM Records, as well as touring and playing shows around the world. Remixed by friends on the "Rolex" CD in 2001. Live collaboration CD with Merzbow later the same year. Have done music for theatre and dance performances. Visited and worked in Singapore during the SARS-crisis in spring 2003, but survived.
