Terje Isungset

Terje Isungset is one of Europe’s most accomplished and innovative percussionists. With over two decades experience in jazz and Scandinavian music he is taking these types of music far beyond their traditional boundaries, becoming more like a cross between a sound artist and a shaman. Crafting his own instruments from Norwegian natural elements such as arctic birch, granite, slate, sheep bells and even ice, he is highly recommended to those sensible to the poetry and simplicity of sounds. "Timbres" and "colours" are central in Terje Isungsets music and compositions.

Cadillac

There is have been several acts with this name: 1) a Norwegian rock band 2) a Spanish pop group 3) a Australian luxury vehicle 1) Legendary, catchy, melodic and slightly underestimated Norwegian rock-band, disbanded in 2005. Released three very different albums, all very well-played, well-produced and very well-written. Why Cadillac never gained the same recognition as many of their contemporaries remains a mystery, but it probably stems from internal struggles and a low touring-frequency.

Kvelertak

Kvelertak shamelessly draw inspiration from every corner of something that could fit into their idea of good hard-hitting and catchy rock'n'roll. Regardless of genre, but always truthful to the basic idea of the band; good songs performed with the tongue-in-cheek attitude of their punk-rock pioneers. Unlike the majority of heavier bands they sing in their native language – adding even more character to their already unique sound.

Joined by drummer Trym Torsson, they did their first demo in the summer of 1992.

TrollfesT

One weekend in 2004, in Oslo, Norway, a bunch of goons became bored with the selection of party music that was available to them, and, helped along by the consumption of large quantities of alcohol, the soon-to-be members of TrollfesT decided to take matters into their own hands. One website and six songs later, a German label, which at the time was called Solistium, recognised the potential in the madness and got in touch.

The Vanguards

Within months of forming The Vanguards found themselves recording in The Charlatans studio with legendary production duo Dave Tolan and Jim Spencer (Primal Scream, The Charlatans) – the result is ‘Regress’ – a gritty blast of raw energy blended with a genuine pop melody, it’s a rock/pop hit in the making.

Cocktail Slippers

This foxy female fivesome from Oslo, Norway, is the perfect mixture of sweet and sour, combining girl-group harmonies and sass with gritty rock 'n' roll fervor to produce a high-octane hybrid that should have all the hepcats dancing. The ladies, whose CD happens to be one of the first releases from Steven Van Zandt's new label, comprise more than just an all-female version of early, hard-rocking Blondie. This is a non-standard garage-hard rock-surf-pop band that manages to mix up the formula to keep things fresh.
