Amsterdam-born singer Eva Simons hails from a long line of musicians with a pianist-father, trumpeter step-father, and vocalist mother. According to the Take Over Control Songfacts, her grandfather was accordion player Johnny Meijer (1912–92), who became so famous in Holland, that his hometown of Amsterdam even dedicated a statue to him. She has been playing piano and composing since she was a small child and graduated from the Conservatorium von Amsterdam.
The year was 1978 - The hands of America were glued to an Atari joystick, Olivia Newton-John became every boy's fantasy in Grease, and rock n' roll got kissed by seductive synth beats. For music, it was an era of contradiction in the best possible way. New wave, punk and disco may have had their own fervent -and very separate- followings, but they had more in common than each cared to admit. “People weren't afraid to have bad haircuts, or wear day glow or sing about ants invading," says singer/songwriter Susan Hyatt - the steamy yet strong female presence of Stimulator.

Toys With Knives is the collective of music produced by Lewis Flude and Marcus Sullivan. They have had previous success with both low-bit electronic and live experimental music. Lewis makes dubstep, acid, house, electro mashups using synthersizers and drum machines. Marcus Sullivan who adds in his chaotic distorted vocals is the other half of the band. They are a collective colliding their two seperate minds.
"Of all the electro pop artists lately , Dansette Junior seem the least contrived, and judging by ‘Drums n Bass‘, have the big songs too" - Steve Lamacq - Radio 1 The brainchild of singer/producer/songwriter Will Hunts alter ego Dansette Junior, was borne through a chance encounter on the ’High Road‘, in the not so salubrious area of Kentish Town, North London, with like minded Johnny Mac(synth geekery n bass) and Graham Gaffney(drums n machines)
Pygmy Globetrotters are Richard Owen and Ian Turley. “Pygmy Globetrotters, equal parts ‘Born Slippy’ era Underworld meets Crystal Castles” NME “Cutting-edge machine beats, on vibrating, subsonic bass riffs, spindly synth riffs and the dark, diseased imaginings of two boys cut off from it all, cast adrift 150 miles from the mundane, media mainstream” The Guardian
“Pygmy Globetrotters are using junk-shop keyboards and cheap laptops to offer a digital update of budget analogue pop.” The Sunday Times Magazine
PYYRAMIDS is a collaboration by Tim Nordwind (OK Go) and Drea Smith (He Say, She Say). Connected by a mutual friend in Chicago, the pair struck up an email correspondence that soon transformed into a small torrent of music. Bonding first over dark British pop from the early '80s like The Smiths and Joy Division, and stranger more modern fare like Micachu, Nordwind and Smith were natural collaborators.
Busy saving the city from the brick wall arm crossing and the casual head nods, Brooklyn's own Body Language has risen from the DIY venue basements armed with the kinetic dynamite you would expect from the name. Their original music was born from weekly dance party remixes crafted by Grant Wheeler and Matt Young, and graced by the soul stylings of Ms. Angelica Bess. Their efforts, which illustrated their arrival into Brooklyn, were delivered in a five track EP called “Speaks".
