Tetuzi Akiyama

Tetuzi Akiyama (秋山徹次) was born in Tokyo, April 13, 1964. Tetuzi Akiyama is a highly unique and experimental guitarist heavily applying free improvisation and noise. Besides guitar, he also plays electronics, viola, and self-made instruments. Akiyama became an enthusiastic hard rock fan when he was eleven years old, and started playing electric guitar at the age of thirteen. Later, he also came to be very interested in free improvisation and classical music.

Lionel Marchetti

Lionel Marchetti was born in France in 1967. His interest in music resides in the qualities of sound. He is one of a handful of artists who in the mid-to-late 1990s took electroacoustic music out of academic studios and into the free improvisation ring. A scholar who worked at the CFMI (Lyon) and GRM (Paris) studios and published a book on acousmatic composer Michel Chion, Marchetti developed a set-up of microphones and loudspeakers he uses on stage along with tape recorders, prepared CDs, motors and radios.

Chris Abrahams

Chris Abrahams (born 1961 in New Zealand) is a Australian pianist, best known for his jazz work.
Abrahams has been a member of the Benders, the Laughing Clowns, The Sparklers and The Necks. He has recorded several solo albums, as well as collaborations with Melanie Oxley from the Sparklers.
He has also played with Peter Blakeley and The Resurrection, Silverchair, Jackie Orszaczky and The Godmothers, Mephisto Waltz (with Ed Kuepper), Midnight Oil, The Whitlams, Crow and Gondwanaland, and is an in-demand session musician.

Anthony Pateras

Anthony Pateras (b.1979) is a multidisciplinary musician living and working in Melbourne, Australia. Solo, he appears on piano or analogue electronics, and composes written works for ensembles, orchestras and soloists. His main bands are Pateras/Baxter/Brown freeform acoustic noise-jazz, an electro-acoustic duo with Robin Fox, the free-grind project PIVIXKI (with Max Kohane) and noise sculptors POLETOPRA (with Marco Fusinato).

ROVO

Rovo is a psychedelic rock-jazz band founded in 1996 in Tokyo by former Boredoms guitarist Seiichi Yamamoto (山本精一), electric violinist Yuji Katsui (勝井祐二), and synthesizer/effects technician Tatsuki Masuko (益子樹), with Jin Harada (原田仁) on bass guitar, Hiroshi Nakanishi (中西宏司) on synths, and featuring two drummers/percussionists, the prolific Yasuhiro Yoshigaki (芳垣安洋) (of legendary improv noise group Ground-Zero) and Yoichi Okabe (岡部洋一).

Robert Piotrowicz

Guitar player and electro acoustic musician. He started to play music at the age of 12, his first instrument was drums. Then a few years latter he found the guitar as a tool to have a band. From this time he was trying to find his place in music. From the early 90's he was a leader of his own band called STUCKONCEILING, there he found his way of guitar playing and learned to lead a band. Around 96-98 he released a couple of albums reflecting his early fascination which revolved around hard core, noise avantgarde metal.

Marcus Schmickler

German composer Marcus Schmickler first came to prominence as a member of POL, the project formed by Carsten Schulz (C-Schulz) that released Transomuba (1994), that mixes field recordings, world and techno music, and Baby I Will Make You Sweat (1995), the (vastly inferior) soundtrack to a movie. Schmickler then recorded Wabi Sabi (1996), an avantgarde work of computer-generated drones that updated Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music to the digital age. Onea Gako (Odd Size, 1994) was credited to Marcus Schmickler, and it was co-arranged and produced by C-Schulz.

Maja Ratkje

Maja Solveig Kjelstrup Ratkje, composer and performer (born Dec. 29th 1973 in Trondheim, Norway), finished composition studies at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo in 2000. Her compositions have been performed by Oslo Sinfonietta, The Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Arve Tellefsen, Cikada and Vertavo string quartets, Quatuor Renoir, ticom, Crash Ensemble, Torben Snekkestad, Spunk, Frode Haltli and Poing among others.
