Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar (अनुष्का शंकर), b. June 9, 1981, is a sitar player and composer from India. She is the daughter of Ravi Shankar, Indian sitar player, and Sukanya Shankar. She began playing sitar under her fathers guidance at the age of nine and blossomed into a wonderful musician. She is becoming increasingly known for not only her recital work but for her own classical Indian compositions. When Anoushka was eight years old, her father began training her in the sitar. She gave a public performance at the age of thirteen; since then she has become a world famous sitar artist.

MGR

Mustard Gas and Roses (MGR) is an solo project from Los Angeles, California, United States created by Mike Gallagher around 2005, - the guitarist for American band Isis, having previously been a member of Cast Iron Hike. Gallagher incorporated more structure, more distortion, more dark foreboding into his almost-all-guitar aesthetic. "For me, these songs evoke more of a feeling than a concept-making this record was kind of a journey into and out of things making sense.

ROVO

Rovo is a psychedelic rock-jazz band founded in 1996 in Tokyo by former Boredoms guitarist Seiichi Yamamoto (山本精一), electric violinist Yuji Katsui (勝井祐二), and synthesizer/effects technician Tatsuki Masuko (益子樹), with Jin Harada (原田仁) on bass guitar, Hiroshi Nakanishi (中西宏司) on synths, and featuring two drummers/percussionists, the prolific Yasuhiro Yoshigaki (芳垣安洋) (of legendary improv noise group Ground-Zero) and Yoichi Okabe (岡部洋一).

1. Shutter are an Inverness based instrumental post-rock quartet from the highlands of Scotland. This remote "city" finally has something to sit up and pay attention to. Their songs progess from gentle instrumental meandering through the joint guitar of Matt and Pete into often beastly hammerings that the Deftones would be proud of.

Pangea

1) PANGEA is a Hardcore/Thrash band from New Hampshire. Since their inception in October of 2008 they have gone through a slew of member changes that has left them with their only 2 original members: Casey Nealon and Andy Pagliuca. The Summer of 2010 was the defining point for the band in which they solidified their new sound and picked up their current drummer Jarrett Polcari and vocalist Andrew McKenney.

The Durutti Column

The Durutti Column is the ongoing band project of guitarist (and occasional pianist) Vini Reilly (born in Didsbury, Greater Manchester, August 1953), often accompanied by drummer Bruce Mitchell. The basic idea behind Durutti Column’s music is to break with whatever structure supports the foundations of musical formalism, in order to try and create a kind of music which really can belong to everyone.

Shylock

1) Progressive rock band, 1970s, France With endless comparisons to King Crimson, Shylock remains one of the premier French symphonic bands. Other comparisons are made to Arachnoïd and Pulsar. Darkness is the key here. Their influence can be felt in such bands as Xaal, Minimum Vital, Tiemko, and Änglagård. 1977's "Gialorgues" was recorded with the primary membership consisting of drummer André Fisichella, guitarist Frédéric l'Épée (who went on to play with Philharmonie), and keyboardist Didier Lustig.

Vinko Globokar(born July 7,1934)is a Slovenian composer and trombonist.
He was born in Anderny,France.
Between 1947 and 1955 he lived in Yugoslavia where he played jazz trombone.
He returned to France to study at the Paris Conservatoire (trombone 1955-1959 with Lafosse)and then he studied composition with Luciano Berio in Berlin(1965)before working with Karlheinz Stockhausen at the time of the recording of Aus den Sieben Tagen.

The Tea Party

The Tea Party is a Canadian rock band from Windsor, Ontario, with blues, progressive rock and Middle Eastern influences who formed in 1990 and disbanded in October 2005. They reformed in 2011 to play some shows in Canada. They have released seven albums commercially during their time together. Guitarist and vocalist Jeff Martin, who has perfect pitch, was also producer for almost all of their albums.
