Decoder Ring

Decoder Ring was formed in 2001, in Sydney, Australia. Original line-up consisted of Matt Fitzgerald ( keyboards, guitar) Geoff Towner (bass, El Mopa), Pete Kelly (guitar, Sea Life Park), Kenny Davis Jr (keyboards, piano, The Jackson Code, The Blackeyed Susans) & Thomas Schutzinger (drums). Original line-up recorded the EP "Spooky Action at a Distance" (2002) and album "Decoder Ring" (2002). Geoff Towner departed in 2003 and was replaced by Ben Ely (Regurgitator).

The Klezmatics

The Klezmatics are an American band based in New York City. Formed in New York's East Village in 1986, the band plays an updated form of the music, mixing it with other musical traditions, singing in English and Yiddish. They have also participated in cross-cultural collaborations, most notably with the Palestinian musician Simon Shaheen.

John Barry

John Barry, OBE (3 November 1933 - 30 January 2011), born John Barry Prendergast in York, UK is considered one of the "Big Four" of late 20th century film composers (the others being John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, and Henry Mancini). His family was in the cinema business, but it was during his National Service that he began performing as a musician. After taking a correspondence course and arranging for some of the bands of the day, he formed the "John Barry Seven." Barry then met Adam Faith, and composed songs and film scores on the singer's behalf.

Anne-Sophie Mutter

Anne-Sophie Mutter (born June 29, 1963 in Rheinfelden, Germany) is a German violinist.
Mutter started playing the piano at age five. Shortly after, she began playing the violin, studying with Erna Honigberger and Aida Stucki.
After winning several prizes, she was exempted from school to dedicate herself to her art. When she was 13, conductor Herbert von Karajan invited her to play with the Berlin Philharmonic. In 1977, she made her debut at the Salzburg Festival and with the English Chamber Orchestra under Daniel Barenboim.

The Magic Lantern

the Magic Lantern is a swedish band. They live in Umeå a small town in the north of sweden. The Magic Lantern play psychedelic music, influenced by postrock and 70´s kraut and spacerock. Most of the tracks are created live in the rehearselroom, with the tape rollin´. Then the best parts is reworked and made some more adds on. They have two cd-r records out and this autumn (2006) there will be a cdep out on burnt toast vinyl/do you dream of noise ?
