Richard Skelton

Since 2006, UK artist Richard Skelton has been releasing small run documentations of his own musical explorations through his Sustain Release label. These recordings are always exquisitely packaged, in materials and imagery that really invoke the feel of the recordings locked away on the discs.
Place and space play a big factor in Skelton’s creative process, transporting the listener to the environment in which the music was originally recorded.

Sydney Symphony Orchestra

1932 was a momentous year for Sydney. The Sydney Harbour Bridge, an engineering miracle of the day was opened in March. In July 1932 the Australian Broadcasting Corporation was established, and with it the group of musicians that would become the Sydney Symphony. The Orchestra consisted of just 24 players, who performed incidental music for radio plays, music for the dinner hour and broadcasts of concert repertoire.

Chris Goss

Chris Goss is an American record producer and musician, who is not only known for his work on albums by Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, but also as the frontman of desert rock band Masters Of Reality. "There’s a bunch of weirdos that I work with all the time, and we make what I call 'out of whack' Rock records. That’s what I do. When people want an 'out of whack' weird Rock record, they call me, and I take an 'out of whack' amount of money to do it, and I’m glad to be there. It’s cool." (Chris Goss in 2004 about his work)

Howlin' Rain

This Northern Ca group was formed in 2004 by Ethan Miller of Comets On Fire with Ian Gradek. John Moloney (of Sun burnt hand of the man) joined the group to record the first album, self titled and released by Birdman Records. This has caught comparisons with the early Grateful Dead and the ear of label impresario Rick Rubin. Upon Moloney's departure in 2006 the group was recreated to record "Magnificent Fiend", co-released by Birdman and American Records in 2008.

Nat Baldwin

The simple combination of Baldwin's bass and singing is pure, direct, and timeless. Today, when most of the so-called musical innovators simply offer contemporary takes on already proven and accepted movements in music (neo-psychedelia, nth-wave garage bands...) Portsmouth, New Hampshire's Nat Baldwin is a true original. Baldwin is an upright bass player and a singer, but he takes both of those things to their limit, and has perfected a sound that he can call entirely his own.

Continental

There's more than 1 band with the name 'Continental' 1-Continental is a rock band from San José, Costa Rica, influenced by country, psychobilly, folk and rockabilly. The band was formed in 2006 by Adrian Poveda (vocals & guitar), Alejandro Imbach (bass, banjo & keyboards), Esteban Rodríguez (guitar) and Wash (drums). They recorded their first EP: Adiós in 2006, but it was remastered and officially released in December 2010. 2- Post-rock band from USA.

Martin Rev

Martin Reverby is best known as a member of the seminal New York punk-era synth/vocal group Suicide. Under the name Martin Rev he has released albums that are usually classified as No Wave, but other work - under the names See Me Ridin, StrangeWorld, To Live - are very different in style and genre from the Martin Rev releases.

Manorexia

Manorexia is an experimental instrumental project of composer J.G. Thirlwell (primarily of Foetus). Manorexia was formed in 2001. As opposed to Thirlwell's other instrumental group, Steroid Maximus, Manorexia features no collaborators and eschews musical structure for a more free-form and spontaneous approach. The results are often described as cinematic and textural. To date all albums have been released on Thirlwell's own Ectopic Ents label. Until recently have been sold only at concerts or via the Official Foetus Website.
