Anne Clark

For more than 30 years Anne Clark has held a unique place in contemporary music.
Combining literary, socially engaged texts with innovative and genre-breaking music, she has covered every kind of style, while at the same time maintaining her own identity on each and every recording, whether it be the samples (before sampling became a concept) and electronically treated acoustics of The Sitting Room (1982), to the ground-breaking analogue synth classics of Sleeper In Metropolis (1983) and Our Darkness (1984).

NFD

NFD comprise Tony Pettitt, the Fields of the Nephilim founder-bassist, who teamed up with vocalist/guitarist Peter (Bob) White and drummer Simon Rippin when the Nephilim reunion floundered in 2002. Simon was previously in both Nefilim and Fields of the Nephilim line-ups, as well as together with Bob in Sensorium. For live gigs they bring in two extra guitarists, Chris Milden and Steve Carey. Their Nephilim roots gave them immediate attention from that band's still devoted following, but press reviews surpassed any casual goodwill.

UK Decay

After a brief stint as The Resistors, the Luton based UK Decay was formed in the winter of 1978. Nearly everyone was named Steve, so they all took on other monikers (Abbo = Steve Abbot). From there they became a well known outfit that has played with many of the original London punk bands, and even having made it to the US thanks to Jello Biafra after the sacking of their bassist in 1980. They got a 16 year old American bass replacement (Jason Creeton from Social Unrest).

Adoration

Formed in 2003 by Stephen Carey (formerly of Ireland's This Burning Effigy) together with vocalist John Stone (former manager of bands such as Vendemmian and Complicity). After an initial flurry of activity during which the band supported bands such as Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and All About Eve, they decided to cocoon themselves in the studio to write and record their first album, with Lee-Anne Burgess joining them on bass. Owing to Steve's other musical commitments ( NFD, Eden House ) this was a lengthy process....

Spear Of Destiny

Spear Of Destiny are a post-punk rock band who formed in the 1980s lead by Kirk Brandon, former Theatre of Hate frontman. They are best known for their single, Never Take Me Alive, which was a top 20 hit in 1987. They had (and still have) a cult following and they have produced ten studio albums, notably 'One Eyed Jacks' and 'World Service'. They still tour today and their most recent studio album, Loadestone, has been very well received. It includes a remarkable cover of the Joy Division track, Transmission.

Rome Burns

Cambridge based Goth rockers, Rome Burns started off as an experiment between two friends when they were deliberating what they would sound like on recording. Over a decade later and two albums, Non-Specific Ghost Stories and their second offering, 'The Static Murmur' can be heard on many UK Goth dancefloors, which Simon Satori's distinctive vocals ranging out to the masses. When performing live, the band interact with the audience well and demonstrate a slightly disturbed sense of humour, bantering with the crowd and the occassional improvisation.
