Gothic Rock

Angellis

Angellis were recently resurrected after a three year hiatus of soul searching. “We were just too young and niave,” says frontman Jonne. “It’s probably good that we’ve spent time away from each other, otherwise we’d probably have destroyed ourselves. We’re abit older no...w, hopefully a bit wiser and more together,” Providing a constant energy source for the band is wild man percussionist Voodoo Styx, already a respected drummer around the Stoke-on-Trent area.

Gene Loves Jezebel

Gene Loves Jezebel is a gothic rock band from the early 1980s founded by twin brothers, Michael and Jay Aston. Michael Aston (vocals) was the poetic, goth-leaning side of the twin brothers while Jay Aston’s distinctive banshee-like, wailing vocals supplied Gene Loves Jezebel with one of their many trademark quirks.
Originally called Slav Aryan, Gene Loves Jezebel began in 1980 with the brothers, guitarist Ian Hudson, and a drum machine.

World Is Static

Our story begins in the north of a small country somewhere in the northern hemisphere of an inconspicuous green blue planet circling a safe distance from an orange sun in the Solar system. During the month of November in the year of 2004, following the disbanding of the musical group named Merrick 1862, a guitar playing human male known as Simon Chester had been writing what he considered to be jolly good little songs.

Faith and the Muse

Faith and the Muse, formed in 1993, are vocalist and songwriter Monica Richards (formerly of Strange Boutique and the mid-80s Washington DC punk band Madhouse) and William Faith (formerly of Christian Death and Shadow Project). The duo draws from a wide array of styles: gothic rock, ethereal, Celtic, post-punk, and even jazz. Neo-pagan and Celtic mythology influences much of their lyrical content. While their sound varies greatly from song to song, their music is always highly emotional and spiritual, with a cathartic and epic character.

Blackmore's Night is an English Renaissance-inspired medieval folk rock band led by UK guitarist Ritchie Blackmore (electric and acoustic guitars) and Candice Night (lyricist and lead vocals). The origins of the band lie in 1990 when Candice was working at a local New York rock music radio station, and as part of her work first encountered Ritchie (now ex-Deep Purple/Rainbow guitarist), then with Deep Purple, at a soccer game he was playing in.
