Charles Spearin, founding member of Do Make Say Think, Broken Social Scene and K.C. Accidental released his debut album, The Happiness Project, on Feb. 14, 2009. The Happiness Project mixes music with spoken interviews which Spearin conducted on persons living in his own neighborhood. A theme throughout each interview is the subject of happiness. According to the album's liner notes, after the interviews Spearin would listen to the playback "for moments that were interesting in both meaning and melody," Spearin wrote.
Bear Bones, Lay Low is the power drone project of Brussels-based Venezuelan Ernesto Gonzalez. He builds an energetic wall of sound with guitar fuzz, vocals, tapes and a bunch of effects. Despite of his live performances being scarce, he already got honours from the likes of Spencer Yeh, among others. A young and dynamic talent from da hood.
EXPO '70 was formed in Los Angeles by Justin Wright as a side-project, while he was playing guitar in Living Science Foundation (Second Nature Recordings; GSL50 Compilation). Initially, the group also included Wright's friend, PK . The pair improvised creating sounds bouncing effect-ridden instruments creating a wide range of textures and moods. EXPO '70's first recording and inception was during PK's project SXBRS recording session, resulting in one of many split releases on PKs' label.

If pure musicianship is the guiding criterion, Altered States are arguably one of the greatest guitar/bass/drums trios in the history of rock, which may strike some as an overstatement but the evidence is there for anyone willing to seek out the band's Japanese label releases.
Beginning in May 2008 the founding and surviving members of Sun City Girls, Alan Bishop and Richard Bishop, embarked on a tour of the US and Canada called "The Brothers Unconnected: A tribute to Sun City Girls and Charles Gocher". The tour began in Seattle on Sunday, May 18 at The Triple Door and continued across North America through early July.
As followers of the legendary band know, drummer Charles Gocher died of cancer in February 2007. A private memorial was held shortly after.
Damo Suzuki's Network is an experimental/improvisational music outfit that revolves around Damo Suzuki. This Japanese-born singer is best known for his 1970-73 stint with Krautrock legends Can. Following his departure from the band, he embarked on a decade-long hiatus from music. By 1983, however, Damo Suzuki returned to the realm of music. In the 1990s, he formed and began fronting Damo Suzuki's Network.
YASUNAO TONE (刀根康尚) was one of the first Japanese artists active in composing "events" and improvisational music. He has been active in the Fluxus movement since 1962 and has also been an organizer and participant in many important music and performance groups such as Group Ongaku, Hi-Red Center, Team Random (the first computer art group organized in Japan). Primarily a composer, Tone has worked in many media, creating pieces for electronics, computer systems, film, radio and television, as well as environmental art.

Despite high-profile gigs with bands like Matt and Kim, …And You Will Knows By the Trail of Dead, and These Arms Are Snakes, the four-piece has operated mostly under the local radar.
Dimension X is a Milwaukee based progressive metal project originally formed in an effort to produce music similar in feel and texture to that of King Crimson, Genesis and Rush. Over time the band's sound shifted to more closely resemble contemporary icons such as Dream Theater and Symphony X. During this transition the original drummer, Andy Jimenez, and the original guitarist, Kent Herman were replaced with new drum artist, Eddie Shapanske, and new guitarist Troy Stetina.
