Dead Wood

Dead Wood is the solo experimental sound based project of Adam Baker, who lives in Dorset, U.K. The project was started in 2003 and explores the world of microsound, sinewaves and sound textures. Sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, these experiments are created using a laptop, guitar, kids toys, field recordings etc. Dead Wood performes live and has CDR releases on labels such as Tibprod, Dirty Demos, Kabukikore, Tin Cans And Twine etc. Adam is also one half of electronica duo I Before E, performs live in improvised laptop collective No Context and runs the Dirty Demos label.

1877 are a four-piece alternative electronic rock band from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. They have released one E.P. ‘The 1657 Demonstrations’ and singles ‘The Day a Pacifist Tried to Kill Me’ and ‘A Bitter Pill’. Their latest release ‘I am an Antagonist’ is out now, distributed through Dead Pilot Records and has featured on BBC Radio Oxford and Steve Lamacq’s BBC Radio 6 show in May 2009.

sporadicly active as "joey chainsaw" since late 2004/early 2005. "joey chainsaw" began sonic venturing around 1999 exploring sound, noise etc . "joey chainsaw" is not necessarily the name of said act, just a nick name that became so to save confusion with reference to "that guy with the shit keyboards and guitars" .. generally the album titles have more relevance in terms of act's name (butthole surfers style) as the "j.c." tag is generally missing from them. joey likes walks along the beach, drinking hot chocolate whilst watching sex and the city, and candle lit take away parties

Me With Others

Buckinghamsire based singer-songwriter Dave Hamilton-Smith (of Desert City Silence and Plurals) presents a sincere and heartfelt acoustic solo project here. Combining a John Frusciante influenced playing style, Buckley-esque vocals and a jaw-droppingly emotional core, these are songs that can reach into you and take hold of your very soul. His debut album 'You Can't Argue With Silence' was released on Dead Pilot Records in May 2008, and next up is the 'Cigarettes' EP, being released on Division Street very soon, with another full length following that.

Expo '70

EXPO '70 was formed in Los Angeles by Justin Wright as a side-project, while he was playing guitar in Living Science Foundation (Second Nature Recordings; GSL50 Compilation). Initially, the group also included Wright's friend, PK . The pair improvised creating sounds bouncing effect-ridden instruments creating a wide range of textures and moods. EXPO '70's first recording and inception was during PK's project SXBRS recording session, resulting in one of many split releases on PKs' label.
