The Afterparty

Adelaide trio The Afterparty formed in early 2009 with the collaboration between Brad Gilbertson (In Fiction), Lachlan Higgs and Lee Norman (formally of the digital music production group, The Metronicle). The Afterparty incorporate atmospheric soundscapes and a minimalist approach with hard hitting rock choruses to tell short stories about the complications and ironies of life as a human being.

1. Radio City is an alias used by Niko Schabel/Radio Citizen for the One EP release on Ubiquity Records. 2. Radio City were a 70s punk/new wave band from Thurso, Scotland, comprising songwriters James Sutherland vocals and Raymond Henderson bass and vocals, fellow band members tich bremner drums, colin matheson lead guitar and robin murray guitar / vocal.They released one single "Love and a Picture" / "She’s a Radio". The band's intended follow up, Why / talked to you was re recorded by Caithness based The Blonde Brothers, featuring James Sutherland, Raymond Henderson and Tich bremner.

The People

There are three bands that use the name "The People." The People - Kansas City 1999-2003
The People were a band from Kansas City, Missouri. They began as an early art-rock project by cousins Ben Grimes and Ryan Shank in Springfield, MO in 1999. They independently released one full-length record, "The Premise Is Sound" in 2000, and recorded an unreleased 3 song EP entitled "Japan." Thom Daugherty left the band to join The Elms in 2000. In 2003, the band signed with Astralwerks Records, releasing one album and one EP under the name The Golden Republic.

Out of the ashes of Yorks last wave of punk bands (The Hazard/Carnival Rejects) comes an all new assault on the punk scene! Dicko and Bilo have been trying to start a street punk band for years and since the Hazard split Bilo has switched from lead vocals to drums to sort the constant problem of drummers quitting... With the line-up now completed by Jim and James, bringing their own influences, they should be available to gig this Spring/Summer 2009! they have a new demo planned for July when Dicko returns from his travels to America ..

Chris Connor

Chris Connor (November 8, 1927 - August 29, 2009) was an American jazz singer known for her distinctive style and expression. Born in Kansas City, her father was an eminent musician and Chris soon studied and became proficient in the clarinet.
Chris joined the "Snowflakes", a vocal group of Claude Thornhill's band, and moved on to become Stan Kenton's lead singer. She recorded for Bethlehem records originally and then began a long association with Atlantic records.

1. HOOF, an English Alternative/Rock band from Nottingham, England, was formed in 1996. The band members are Wayne Banks (bass, vocals), Jason Banks (guitar, vocals) and Ploff (drums). The band is known for their musicianship and improvisational style. Their musical style involves a wide range of different influences. Hoof includes humor in their music but also make pointed political statements. The band are a true co-operative with no primary songwriter.

The Sound and the Fury

The Sound and The Fury is most commonly known as a hard rock band from Kansas City, MO, which was founded in 1995, and broke up in March 2006. The band featured Jeff Wood (guitar and vocals), Aaron Ogle (guitar), Jay Kassen (bass guitar and vocals), and Nathan Russel (drums). Another band who uses the name is a hardcore/Christian band from Kokomo, IN. The band features Tyler Koronich, Benji Zirkle, Isaiah Baker, Derek Hoover, and Bill Tipton, and is currently on hiatis due to Tyler leaving the band.
