Ruts DC

FOLLOWING ON FROM THE RUTS
Ruts DC was the follow up name used by the surviving three members of The Ruts following the death of singer Malcolm Owen in 1980. They released two albums: Animal Now (a rock record on Virgin in 1981), and Rhythm Collision (a dub reggae record on their own imprint, Bohemian, in 1982, engineered by Mad Professor).
The band came to a halt in 1984 only once reforming to perform one now legendary gig at The Academy Islington on July 16th 2007.

Lustmord

Brian Williams is a British electronic musician often credited for creating the genre with albums recorded under the name Lustmord. Williams started recording as Lustmord in 1980 before joining SPK in 1982.
Lustmord has extracted field recordings made in crypts, caves, and slaughterhouses, and combined it with occasional ritualistic incantations and Tibetan horns. His treatments of acoustic phenomena encased in digitally expanded bass rumbles have a dark ambient quality.

The Leisure Society

The story of The Leisure Society began in Burton-Upon-Trent when Nick Hemming picked up a guitar and formed a band with Shane Meadows, Paddy Considine and Rich Eaton. Following a year of demos and increasingly bizarre gigs, Shane and Paddy were drawn towards careers in film, leaving Nick to pursue a life of making music. After serving time with Burton's best known exports The Telescopes (latterly Unisex), Nick contributed scores to some of Shane's movies, including A Room For Romeo Brass and Dead Man's Shoes, under a new moniker The Leisure Society.
