The Transatlantics
Based in Adelaide, South Australia, The Transatlantics are an eight-piece deep funk and soul outfit inspired by the great soul performers of the late 60's and early 70's. The Transatlantics came together in 2007 born of a shared love for gritty old vinyl, cheap guitars and quality barbequed meats. Described by NME as "a young, white Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings," The Transatlantic's sound invokes the grainy warmth of Southern American Soul and the rhythmic grunt of classic James Brown-era funk.

The Sweet Vandals
Funk! Soul! Passion! We know the Soul & Funk Bands which have been put together towards their own casting. The Sweet Vandals have searched and found themselves, this genre is their passion and it rewards in the sound – a real sound! This state of 'realness' has been reached on only a few recordings in the last few years; Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators and of course The New Mastersounds. The Vandals are different from these combos.
