John Harle
John Harle (born 20 September 1956 in Newcastle upon Tyne) is an English saxophonist and composer. Attracted to minimalist music, he became a founding member of the Michael Nyman Band, with which he performed from 1981-1999. Harle was educated at the Royal Grammar School, Newcastle and traces his love of history to being taught there by William Feaver, now The Observer's art critic. Harle heard alto saxophonist Johnny Hodges perform with Duke Ellington's band in the early 1970s,and this was one of his childhood influences...

Motor City Shuffle
MCS have come a long way since the first acoustic guitar jam between Ian and Will February 2008; the band has grown and subsequently shrunk and has now settled in its current arrangement. The line up of MCS came about as the paths of Will (Lead Vocals/Guitar/Piano), James (Bass) and Ian (Drums) crossed through employment and the ashes of previous musical endeavours. Motor City Shuffle exists to perform a rawkus brand of Melodic Indie Pop that would fill any Indie Club Night Dance Floor. We are currently in the Studio (Rock Rooms - Oxford) recording our debut EP.

Joy Division
Joy Division were a post-punk band formed in 1976 in Salford, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. The band dissolved in May 1980 after the suicide of its lead singer, Ian Curtis. Much of their popularity/reputation arguably resulted from frequent playings on air by iconic DJ John Peel, but it is easy now to overlook the impact that the first album, Unknown Pleasures, had on post-punk music at the time, as reference the number of prominent bands that cited this album as an influence.
